Very poor professor. Isnt really clear on what she does and doesnt want. When asking for help, she speaks often condescending making you feel stupid. She also spends at least half of the class period giving us time to work instead of teaching us. Im getting As on all my writing assignments from my other classes but not here.

She was awful at helping and explaining what she wanted and she kept talking to fill class time, even though she had nothing left to say.

Prof. Crowe is hard grader. She will make you a better writer, but she can be pretentious about it. If you are not an honor's student at Millikin, she's partial to assuming you can't write, unless you prove her wrong. You will have to work hard and do the reading in her class, but in the end, it will pay off if you put in the effort. Not an easy A.

I found her to be overbearing and unhelpful. My misfortune in taking this class might even cause me to take a 5th year due to my dense course of study for my major. If you're not 100% committed to being a superb writer at the professional level, take a different class.

She is really only helpful if you're already a good writer. If you struggle with writing, though, she will be rude and definitely not helpful. Class time is very dull.

I received a lot of feedback from her to improve my writing. She honestly read what I wrote helped me improve. Although many assignments were given out, each had a purpose. Each assignment was interesting, and allowed for much personalized writing. Overall, this has been the most helpful and enjoyable English class I have had since grade school.

Class time is useless; something particularly annoying as her classes are usually very early in the morning. She does not answer questions or clarify her statements well. Though she is obviously a smart woman, I would never take another writing class with her again. Too much busy work.

She does not teach. If you are not a good writer before you enter Prof. Crowe's class, you will not do as well as you would please.

I absolutely adored having Prof. Crowe for my first semester of CWWR as a freshman! She is highly competent and expects the fullest potential out of her students. She is demanding but it pays off for future courses. Despite all of this she is also understanding for personal sit. This prepares the student to practice a diligent lifestyle in college.

I found Pro. Crowe's expectations for this class FAR too high. I am a hard working honors student, but she required more work than any of the other teachers I had or heard of anyone else having. She also had class on Sunday nights, which we were not informed of before hand. I don't recommend her at all.

Prof. Crowe offers the following to her first semester critter class: a tough workload, good critique, and high expectations of her students. Overall, a good, helpful professor. She does, however, push the writing center a lot which... depending on who you see... may not help you.

Hard class. I was consistantly writing papers and going to the writing center but she is very helpful. She really improved my writing and once you figure out what she wants you are good to go.

Crowe is smart, sexy and really tough. But she really taught me how to write. I took her Critter class last year and became a better college writer for it.
