This class is freaking ridiculuous. I spend on average 10 hours a week on ALEKS just to make slow progress in the Pie Mastery. Freaking waste of time class. Waste of freaking time. Freak ALEKS, freak math 140, if you take this class you will lose sleep sanity and grade point all for freaking nothing. DO NOT take this class. Freak this.

Comment:

A lot of people say that this class is terrible, but it's really not that bad. there is one assignment a week, with like 20 question on average. The program you use has a view example feature that does the problem for you with different numbers. you have 3 attempts at every test, and the practice tests help. It's not that bad, and I suck at math.

Get ready to teach yourself many different areas of math. The whole class is online. Take the class with your friends and find shortcuts otherwise the homework will take you 3+ hours to complete. 5 Exams and 11 hw assignments for the class. None of the material is helpful. Lab TA's are given but provide no help to you if you are struggling.

Considering this is a foundation core class you would think they would pay more attention to it and teach the material. Well you would be wrong to think that. They fail to inform it is basically just an online. I couldn't even tell you about jun pan because you never see her. It is basically like taking a class with a rock because you learn nothing

I have never even seen this professor before. The TAs are the ones that can help you, but you basically have to teach yourself everything in this class. Just keep trying the homework until you get it. It's not too difficult if you try.

I couldn't tell you a single thing about Jun Pan because Math 150 is an online class. It's obviously different than other classes but if you just put some effort into the class you should be fine. The root of pretty much any problems I had in this class were because of procrastination. The content is very basic but you still have to put in the work

This class was a disaster, the TAs were no help at all and the professor wouldn't even accept emails from us. I had to get a tutor or there was no way I would have passed.

Hated everything about this class. If you need help on something you're SUPPOSED to be able to go to the TAs. I went to a TA once and never went back because all she said was to look in the book, no help. Prof doesn't allow you to email, why are you getting paid to not help students or teach? Would've failed without having my friends in it with me

Not too difficult of a class, just make sure you get all your homework done on time and study up for the tests. You get 3 chances for every test and limited tries for your homework so it is very hard to not do well I think. Just don't be lazy and put in the work and you will do just fine.

Pan is the course administrator. I have never interacted with her at all throughout the course. It is very easy, use the "show me" option for homework's to teach yourself. Extra credit opportunities. Grade calculator. 87.5% is an A. I emailed the TA once and he was rude. You have to figure most of it out yourself. 3 attempts on exams.

Whenever I ask Jun Pan a question, she always seems annoyed; and blames me for being the one to mess things up. I don't know that's how i feel. She did reopen an assignment for me one time because I forgot, so i guess i am thankful for that. I just wish she was more approachable, and encouraging.

Jun Pan is the "course adminstrator", not the teacher. You go to a computer lab and teach yourself. I liked the online format,if you signed in to the lab once a week, you got extra credit. A graphing calculator saves so much time and makes it easy! Don't buy the book, just use the "show me how" and "solve for me" buttons on mymathlab and Youtube

Math 150 is an online course that is self taught but if you need help you can ask the TA's in the lab, it depends what TA helps you because some are more helpful than others. However Jun Pan is the head instructor, she's a total sweetheart and if you have questions about grades, i recommend to go and talk to her, very understanding and lenient! :)

I have no idea why this professor even gets paid. I have taken this class all semester and I don't even know what my professor looks like. If you need help? Go to the TA's. Professor Pan doesn't even want you to e-mail her with any questions. Useless. I am astounded that she is even on the payroll.

Absolutely, without a doubt, awful professor. Very unprofessional and rude in her emails, and has absolutely no interest in the students in her class. Because of her, I am retaking this class

Amazing professor, She cares so much about her students and really strives to teach. She cares alot about math and is very helpfull. She made Calc 2 half way decent to learn and i actually enjoyed it. To understand the class you definitely have to pay attention and do the homework, as long as you do this youll be fine. Great teacher!
