Initially i was very worried abt taking this class bc she added a lot of new information about covid AND was lecturing 3x/wk for full 1h15min lectures. That scared me. The content was a lot and probably the hardest class I've ever worked for. 4 exams incl final. 5 quizzes 1 project. offered extra credit twice. review days b4 exams. biochem is tough

BEWARE if you are taking her class during the pandemic. She will add an extra mandatory lecture that you will have to watch and call it the asynchronous part of class. Requires webcam to be on during exams/quizzes. Her lectures are fast paced and based off her notes which has her chicken scratch handwriting. Lots of memorization and pressure.

The most organized chem prof. Lectures are easy to follow. She writes everything on the board instead of using powerpoint. Explains things clearly. Gives you everything you need to succeed. Quizzes every few weeks, 3 exams + final, and semi-weekly homework. Extra credit offered. Super helpful in office hours. Tough class, great prof.

Dr. McReynolds is great. She doesn't use powerpoint. She writes everything on the board, which makes it incredibly easy to follow along. She breaks it down to what you need to know for 161 and cuts out unnecessary topics. Her tests are difficult, but manageable if you keep up with the notes and homework.

She is a good teacher, who can explain the stuff very clearly. Her lecture are straight forward--meaning they will come directly in the exam. If you understand and remember including all words and formula, you are guarantee to get 100% or more in the test. I took both 160A and 160B. They are very interesting and good for me.

I took her for 160A. At first the class can seem quite intimidating because I was reading the book and had no clue what it was talking about. By week 2 I through my book in the closet and never took it out again. Just take good notes in lecture and flashcard them and memorize them and you should get no less than a B. Zero textbook use required

her lecture notes are really clear but her exams were kind of tricky. she have 4 exams total and 10 quizzes. Make sure to study everything because in class she emphasize a lot of things but they are not necessarily on any of the exams.

Great professor. Crystal clear. Her notes on the board are very organized (although the nandwriting is asking for improvement). I've got an A; studied a good deal, read the book sometimes, but not as time-consuming as some of the other science classes like Org. Chem. or Anatomy. I'd definitely recommend her.

I also took her for 161. She writes all her notes on the board so she does not go to much faster than you can keep up with and they are VERY organized. Her tests are very hard but when I went back through the book to correct my test I found many of the questions in the chapter practice problems so everything you need is available to you!

worst professor ever. she lectures by writing on the board as she talks which is hard to follow and likes to make things more complicated then they are. biochemistry is hard in general, but she made it harder to learn then it shouldve been. avoid her please

This prof is the real deal. Anyone who gives a poor rating may be a glutton for "spoon-feeding" done elsewhere. I've earned a D/C+/C in her courses - my regret is that I didn't partake in her EXCELLENT quality of instruction. She is clear, logical, comprehensive, big on your application of material, extremely helpful, knows what is needed 4 success

Organic chem we all know is challenging. Because the amount of info covered and furloughs it made it hard to keep up with everything. McReynold's is not bad of a teacher, she is tough though and fair. Teaching style was okay because she writes on the broad so you can digest everything unlike some chem teachers who use ppt slides.

She's always angry at something or someone. Not very clear lectures. Does not follow book/study guide. She does labs before the matterial is covered in lecture. Oh and I got a good grade, but only because I know chemistry from earlier classes.

She is sooo boring. Her voice is irritating and robotic, very easy to drone out and fall asleep to. When she gets started talking she never stops and when she does stop to ask if there are any questions everyone has forgotten theirs or too intimidated to say theirs because they will look stupid. When u c here in her office she ids helpful though.

She is not helpful at all, the few times I asked a question she was rude and dismissive rather than just answering my question. She was snippy and it was not indicative of a good learning environment. I didn't feel like I could go to her with any question or issue. The class itself was a great thing for nursing students!!

She is very tough, but she is fair. Go to her office hours, she is always there. I don't get the "cold" comments, I didn't find her that way at all. My only complaint is that she didn't seem to understand that the book was an extremely poor tool for studying for the tests, so very few people were properly prepared for exams.

She's not approachable and an overall angry/bitter person. I hated coming to class and was unmotivated, since quizzes and exams were ridiculously difficult. I hate professiors who give harder problems on exams than examples given in class. Study your butt off.
