I'd have to say choosing Scanlan as my teacher is one of the best decisions I've ever made! She's a very down to earth, caring, knowledgeable, compassionate teacher. She believes in improvement, learning from your mistakes and teaches at a pace where everyone is able to comprehend. I TRULY RECOMMEND TAKING HER CLASS! :)

i took her class a few years ago & i couldnt finish it because i got deployed(navy) and she remembered exactly who i was, & truly helped me by guiding me to a terrific teacher (ms. Esteban) i had no idea about & really made a difference in not giving up after not being in school for over 10 yrs! she is genuinely a wonderful person! she is the best!

Very good instructor. When you need help she is available. She gives a lot of work, but it's a fun and learning experience. Her learning style is more on the creative side, then by the book. If you have trouble with homework she covers it in class, before you turn it in, so that helps if you are a slow learner. The only problem I had was sometimes

She's such a cool teacher, she teaches the class very well and easy enough for everyone to understand. She's a teacher a counsler recommended if you needed the extra help in math because she's nice and she'll take the time to show you how to do a problem. As long as you do all your work and do good in tests you can pass her class.

Lavache is an excellent instructor! I really liked her class. She's really patient, kind, and caring. I'll admit, that you have to work for your grade, but she's still one of the best math instructors I've had.

Lavache is a really kind and caring teacher. She's always there for her students and she always makes sure everyone understands the work before moving on. If you study hard and keep up with the assignments, her class isn't too hard. I definitely recommend her!
