Thought that the powerpoints didn't contain a lot of the material that was on the test. It's easy to get an A due to the attendence and quiz grades but not a very engaging class.

It is a very hard class for someone like me who has ADD/ADHD. She is very unwilling to help, and never responds to my emails. She doesn't explains things well and she gets angry way to easy. Worst Science teacher I have ever had.

1) She makes a study guide for every test but when the test comes along their are questions on the test that are not on the study guide(about 25%) 2)She uses "trick questions" 50% of the time. So not only is your knowledge tested but your imagination as well

Great teacher! She takes attendance with the clicker. There is a prep quiz you take online before each class. Sometimes we have in class activities. Both help boost your grade. I got C's on most of the tests but I passed with an A thanks to simple class work. Her instructions are clear, follow them and you will PASS EASILY!

Great content, but miserable ability to explain and prepare students for exams. Instead of making things simple, Firestone makes things complicated and complex. One of the worst professors I have taken a class from.

I enjoyed Sister Firestone, her class, and her teaching. I knew next to nothing about science, but I came out with an A. The one thing I did not care for were the mandatory group meetings.

Sister Firestone was really nice and was helpful when you are willing to ask questions. She helped out a lot with the tests and kept things moving but pretty easy to understand. I really recommend her for Foundations Science 101, she is also a lot of fun!:)

Sister Firestone's class is easy if you attend the class and pay attention. She's very willing to give help when needed and her tests are super easy. Her teaching is straight forward and her tests are directly off the powerpoints and readings. She may not seem like the nicest person, but she's a great teacher.

Comment:

Wonderful Lady, very very sweet. However, her inability to give clear instructions is the most annoying thing to deal with. Poor grades will be received simply because of her vague descriptions. Also be warned, grades in iLearn are never constant, she changes them all the time! Stay away, if possible.

She's very sweet at heart but her instructions are really unclear sometimes, and she'll get snappy when you can't read her mind. For such interesting subject material, the class is extremely boring. She messes up the exams and grades on I-Learn are sketchy. Avoid her if it bothers you when your college professor has the grammar of a seventh grader.

she changed all her exams to what she wanted them to be like, and every time she did that the class averaged in the 70's and then the day after the exam she would have a "serious" talk,telling us all that she knows we were being lazy. I believe that's called a fundamental attribution error. difficult class, youlldo well if ur super smart in science

She seems nice. Never really talked to her, but her class is so boring. If you pay attention you can get good grades, but it is so hard to even do that. I have failed all the tests and have a 66 in the class. And for extra points you need to attend class with the iclicker.

Her class was a joke, I learned nothing and it wasn't just because my boyfriend was in the same class as me, he slides were all over the place and her tests were always super confusing with a lot of questions that we didn't go over in class. She is very nice but I didn't think I learned anything in her class all semester.

she is a great person at heart but is very disorganized and she messed up every test in the testing center! the average over all for every test my class took was 70% she miss grades which sucks because her tests aren't hard she just messes up a lot

You can tell Sister Firestone is not intelligent, merely possessing some knowledge on the subject matter. All she does is regurgitate what was on the assigned reading before class. I LOVE SCIENCE BUT HATED THIS CLASS. STILL GETTING AN A. BUT DO NOT RECOMMEND.
