I had to take his class for a Teacher's Math course. Nothing we did in there even remotely related to Elementary School Math. One girl had a real problem understanding him and he actually said "I just dont' understand what your problem is. Anyone can understand this and I don't see why you can't. He's a total idiot.

This guy is the most awesome math teacher I have ever had! He is easy to understand, and his tests are generally pretty easy if you've paid attention to him in class and actually taken the time to study the material. He is always very nice and helpful. If you come into the class with the right attitude, you should make a very good grade.

Doc is a genius! Maybe thats why he can solve the same problem for you 3 times and still not tell you the proper steps. I ended up trying to decipher the book and teach myself.DO NOT take his class unless you are very familar with math concepts and can teach yourself/figure out whatever it is he's scribbling on the board between his off topic rants

Erker is very, very smart. The problem is that if you aren't a math major, you can forget having him explain it to you. We can solve an equation a mile long and then have no clue how to tell you how he did it. Really funny though outside of class, heard him listening to Bob Marley one day. Just a tough teacher needs to be a rocket scientist instead

Overall he had good intentions but kinda got off topic some. At points he could be unclear. He's very flexible and will work with you if you need help. If you need the class for a pre-req and have some knowledge of algebra I would take the class, but if you don't have a good math background stay away from his class.
