There were hours of lectures but I enjoyed them and it helps to listen and take notes so that you'll pass the course. I would definitely take another course taught by Prof. Mitchell. His lectures and course work are very well put together so that he prepares his students to pass the quizzes and exams.

Taking this online class and for the first time, they decided to change up some things. Handled by a different instructor. Paid $70 for completing RealizeIt. Many modules (find quizlets). Lecture HEAVY. Several quizzes 15 questions each, wording pretty tough to carefully take notes and review. Overall not bad, just very VERY time-consuming.

He is really nice professor and caring, it was my fault that got C in his class, his tests aren't hard just listen to his lectures and take a note u should be fine. U need a book if u want to pass the quiz.

very blunt and straight to the point. listen to the lectures and you will pass the class. you have to be insanely lazy to not pass this class. Also, this is self-paced so you can finish everything in a week if you really wanted to.

Get ready to listen to hours of lectures every week. While they are super insightful and interesting, I have drifted off to sleep one or two times listening to him as he is monotone & slow talker. BUT, I have never learned so much about how our government works in such a short period of time. Would take teacher again, passed with an A.

Comment:

This class was super easy AND interesting. I learned so much and feel much more enlightened about politics. It is a lot of reading and A LOT of listening. The lectures took hours to get through. Still, everything is at your own pace entirely, everything is due on the last day. I finished way ahead of time. He's really sarcastic too, in a good way.

I took Pro. Mitchell online in Spring 2020. Easy A! The class is self-paced. All work is due on the last day of class. There is a to-do list with 37 things on it (chapter readings, listening to lectures, easy quizzes, and 1 short paper). Once you complete the list, you're done with the class. Lectures are lengthy, but very interesting. Easy class!

Took him online. Hes pretty cool. Lots of lecture videos that give you answers to the quiz. Not a hard class at all. You can only access assignments and quizzes after completing a lecture video and pre-quiz. Dont even bother asking for extra credit.

I finished his course in 3 weeks. There were a lot of reading in order to do the quizzes and his lectures are long, but he makes it very easy to understand. I got an A, and I really liked his course and his personality. Strongly recommend

He is a funny professor. I feel like I couldve done better in his class but it was only 2 exams and 7 quizzes. The quizzes are easy but make sure you read your notes before taking them. The exams were where I kept messing up. You truly have to study in order to pass the exam. The questions arent easy to google. His lectures are helpful

Michael Mitchell is an amazing professor. They are 7 quizzes and 3 exams. ALL exams and quizzes are online open books. If you take notes it will really help in the exam . it easily passes the class. PLEASE TAKE HIM. I SAWER YOU WON'T HATE HIM.

Dr. Mitchell is hilarious. His class is easy if you download/listen to the lectures & take the quizzes on time. He is strict about electronics. All assignments are through icollege & his class lectures are only about 30 minutes. You have the option to take midterm & final at home (with notes) or in class (no notes). 1 semester project & that's all.

Probably one of the best Professors I've ever taken. He's hilarious and makes lectures fun and worth while. He doesn't teach more than he needs to-- if you finish early, he'll let you out early. Online videos are only really needed for the "quiz word." I passed all quizzes with just a basic understanding of the topics. Highly, highly recommend.

Dr. Mitchell is one of the best professors. His recorded lectures are very long but so well done and he explains things amazingly. I learned A LOT from his class. He looked mean on the first days but he is actually a sweet and hilarious man. I got A+ on all his quizzes and exams. Do what he tells you to. I wish I could have him for other classes.

I wish he offered other courses! Dr. Mitchell is one of the best professors I have encountered throughout my college experience! Pay attention to his lectures in class and lecture videos quizes and tests will be based off those. He comes off mean but it's just to get rid of the slackers.
