Professor Rahim explains problems step by step so be ready to take notes. Pop Quiz after class - a problem already solved in class. 4 tests and drops lowest score. Very quiet but not rude and answers questions. Goes through 3-4 Chp. Sections per class. Tests review before each test and usually a short lesson before the test. Do hw and you can pass.

Professor Rahman gives detailed lectures on material, but very fast. Be ready to take lots of notes if you want to pass. Cumulative tests after each chapter. Stay for the Chp. review 50% of the test. Very quiet, but will answer questions when he asks "any questions" or after class. He's neither rude or caring, he's neutral. HW is important.

He does problems step by step on the board. Be prepared to take notes, and pay attention! There is homework assigned at the beginning of the day, but you get a chance to do it in class! There are 4 exams and 1 final! Pop quizzes at the end of class, but usually a problem you've seen. Sit up front. Extra credit is given many times! You can pass!

If you have a good concept of Algebra and slightly struggle with it, you can take him. If you need more help expect to go to a tudor or success center. He offers quite a bit of extra credit and gives you chances to higher your test score by showing your work. Be prepared as there are pop quizzes after every class. Do the homework and you'll be fine

If you're not familiar with the math you're in, then don't take him. If you are then go ahead. He gives 4 tests. Pop quizzes after every class. He is generous and drops the lowest scores in each. Show up for class and be prepared to take notes. I needed to self teach as I struggled with his teaching method. Lots of homework. Text book is a must.

Doesn't speak up or project his voice so sit as close to the front as you can. Uses My Math Lab for almost everything (Note: If you didn't purchase a book with a code in it, to purchase an access code online is $125!). Pay attention because he gives pop quizzes pretty much every class.

Best math teacher I have had! Show up to class and listen to the lectures no need for studying just pay attention in class and the homework which he checks every exam. Got an A and usually in math I get Ds....

1st of all, most of the people complaining here are probably slackers. 2nd, professor Rahman teaches very well. He doesn't speak very "clear" but you can still understand him if you know your terms and etc. Take notes for credits. Bring book everyday to do HW in class. Multiple choice on TEST and written on POP QUIZ! I respect the guy.

Nice guy, but very lazy teacher. He will only answer five question that the class has after the class has finished. After that he'll tell you to go to the success center. A lot of the things he tells you to study ends up not being on the test same thing with the homework.

This professor is the worst professor I have EVER had. He teaches the lesson way too quickly. He gives you homework that you didn't learn in class. He makes no sense. DO NOT take this class if you do not excel in math or want a good professor.

I dont like math but professor rahman made it pretty easy to understand. tests were fair and he reviews before test day. not mandatory to show up but if you struggle with math, you should probably do your best to attend each session. Id recommend rahman to any student

Comment:

A great teacher for those taking Math because you must--but he does know his stuff. He paces the class so even slow learners can keep up. Homework format is great--a reasonable amount of homework and it's only due at the four periodic tests, so it gives you multiple weekends to complete. He goes by Prof. Rahman (like ra-man). Slight accent, but OK.

Pretty simple class, just pay attention, study and do your homework. If you need help just ask or meet with him in his office. You get a lot of quizes but they are not worth a lot of your grade. Do good on the test that are multiple choice and you will pass, the final is less points than the other test. Good class overall, good for those who like to be independent.

Overall, class was not too hard but it depends on you. Multiple choice for quizzes and final... Homework is turned in the day of exam. You take 4 exams and drop lowest score then a final exam. He's helpful...Doesn't like when people talk in class but overall a good teacher..Moves kind of quickly but if you attend every class you should be fine.

Very nice teacher. Test are multiple choice which is awesome, he doesnt give tricky math problems, he drops your lowest test grade, points for homework and attendance. If you need help to hesitate to ask him and just Follow his lecture & take good notes and you will def pass;)
