Nelly was a decent professor in class, but our individual conferences were lacking. Her comments on my stories were spare, giving me the impression that she hadn't put much effort or time into reading them. I'm also still waiting on my course evaluation two months after classes ended.

Nelly's a great professor. She gives you exactly what you want. If you want to be challenged, she'll kick your ass, if you want simplicity, you'll sure get it. She's a good introductory writing teacher. She's sweet, kind and open to all kinds of fiction. I strongly recommend a class with her before you graduate! Cons: her classes aren't yearlong.

terrific teacher. Incredibly open to all kinds writing, styles and subject matter. Great ear for pacing and language. Extremely supportive and enthusiastic. Kind and honest. Will offer poignant insight into your work. Take her class!
