She is really nice, can sometimes be confused with language barrier, but good prof overall. 5 quizzes, 2 presentations, 2 compositions, cultural activity, a final, etc. She makes sure you understand the context, but keep track of your grade before the final (I went from a 93 to 92 because of the final and didn't know).

Comment:

I may be biased, but this was the best class and the best professor I've ever had at LMU and I'm in the middle of my fourth semester. If you know any French or Spanish this class will be a breeze but you have to put in the effort and be interested. Also the students I met in this class are still some of my best friends today!

Comment:

Although I adored her as a person, taking her class without any prior knowledge of Italian can be difficult. As an Italian native, she has a heavy accent and often doesn't repeat vocab - knowing Spanish can help. She makes you work with a tutor, attend Italian events and calls on students to speak daily. The textbook was also expensive, over $100!

A lot of little assignments. If you've taken any basic Italian or Spanish you should be ok. Make sure you do the homework, study vocab, and know the grammar rules for each test and you'll do fine. Nice woman, not super demanding.

I love her!! Such a caring teacher and you will learn so much. Homework is every night but its extremely clear-cut and takes no more than 20 min. Tests are very clear and not too difficult if you keep up with your homework and learn the material as you go.

Fun class, very easy homework - takes maybe 15 minutes to do. She is a very cute Italian woman.. seriously adorable! She isn't the best teacher though. I didn't feel like I learned a lot in her class even though I paid attention and did all of her homework. She is pretty confusing and writes in sloppy capital letters on the board.

Paola's one of the friendliest teachers I've had at LMU! Her class can be a little challenging because she speaks almost only in Italian, but what better way to learn then to be immersed in the language. Very helpful in and out of class, definitely would recommend her

I had her for Italian III, and she is by far the best Italian professor I've had at LMU. She expects you to speak in the language when you can, which is understandable. She is extremely helpful and wants you to to do well. I would highly recommend her, for any level Italian.

super easy class, homework everyday but its a BREEZE. class is fun, short lectures and then mostly social exercises in italian. theres a test on every chapter and they're pretty easy too if you study a bit. paula is a funny prof. too shell keep you entertained

Prof. Moscarelli's class was pretty easy if you do all the homework and study for the quizzes and tests. Her writing is hard to decipher and she is very picky when correcting tests. She is from Rome so she has a heavy Italian accent and she tends to pick favorites. Not very helpful in office hours but overall good teacher... take her class!

seems very nice, but if she doesnt like you, she will make the class very difficult for you. doesnt seem to have much respect for students. i enjoyed learning the language, but wished i could have had a teacher who would not make me feel so stupid. Reading the reviews i thought it would be agreat class. The class itself was good. Couple downsides. She writes in all caps without spaces so its hard to decipher he lecture.She is super nice, but completely useless in office hours. her office hours are VERY difficult [during common class hours] kind of picky on the tests.
