Physics is an interesting subject. Physics 2 is a lot harder than Physics 1, so be prepared especially in Dr. H's class. The class is taught at a very fast pace. There are quizzes after each hw is completed and the material Dr. H doesn't really explain so well during lectures. Attendance is a must-5 extra bonus points! Gee wiz are very enlighten!

Dr. H is very thorough in his lecture, but the class is super difficult. Out of class homework takes hours on end, which is hard to fit into a full-time school and work schedule, but he does scale tests.. because he has to. The tests are horrendous. usually exactly like the homework problems you CANT figure out..

I found his class very interresting. If you take good notes and put some effort into studying for exams you can easily get a good grade in his class.

He gives bonus points for coming to class and scales the tests. His quizzes every chapter suck, but they helped me keep up with the fast pace of the class so that I wouldn't be behind by the time the test came around. I'd recommend him.

I took him for physics 201 and switched to Lenton for 202. I should have stayed with Helminger. He is really nice and willing to help, and will bump you up at the end if you have been working hard. Non-majors probably shouldn't take him. If you have taken Calculus and passed I have heard that the Cal-based profs are easier. Take Helminger if you re

Wow!!! He is possibly the worst teacher EVER! HE is SO BORING and comes off a little rude. He does scale the test but that really don't help. He gives out practice test but they are nothing like the test he gives. He is very corny, uses "G WIZ" a lot! You really should consider taking a different professor if you want a passing grade.

He is a good teacher and will explain something as many times as it takes. Physics is a challenging subject, but if you are willing to study there is nothing to worry about. He also scales tests, which I thought was really nice.

Was a very challenging class, but he did scale the test grades. He was very helpful outside of class and met with us for a few study sessions. Would recommend using an audio recorder, as it is difficult to listen to him and take notes at the same time.

Very good and generous professor. He is willing to help you understand the concepts of physics at any cost. Exams are somewhat challenging, but is very understanding in partial credit. If you do the homework and work the problems the way he explains them, you will have no problem making a good grade.

Very Hard Test that he does not even help by giving you a study guide or by going over the test. Class is very boring and tiring, so don't come sleepy because you will fall asleep.

very boring, sometimes assumes that everyone knows as much about physics as he does, not very clear. don't take his classes with "smart" people b/c he will take them as favorites and try to challenge them and if you're not so hot at physics like me you'll get flustered trying to keep up.

very sweet guy--not so sweet lecturer. VERY hard to stay awake in at time especially when lights are out for slides. tests are way hard for a beginner physics class. you have to use logic based on info in notes. whew!! was glad when i passed it!!
