I took Intro to Public Speaking with Dr. Paulette Dale about 15 years ago. I was so proud to see her mentioned recently in the news. She was very clear, funny, and caring. Was always available to help you outside of class. Other students didnt like her cause they were lazy and this class was required for their major-and they resented that.

Comment:

Dr. dale is caring and compassionate. Best teacher I had in my life. She is beautiful and wonderful role model attendance is a priority. Always available in person or by phone to discuss your concerns.

This professor can criticize a bit harsh. She gives all the work/projects @ the beginning of the course & then slacks in the last half of the semester. There was no midterm or final.

I recomend her because you have no exams. She grades fairly, and you must be at every class and not even be late because being late is marked off as an absence and more than 3 absences lowers your grade by one. WARNING! She is known to be highly critical!

Like everyone else says, she's extremely anal and pissy. I couldn't come to class because I had several court dates (I even brought the documentation), and she didn't care. She _would not_ excuse court dates. She doesn't bend or budge for****, even when there is just cause. If you DO decide to take this course with her, NEVER be absent (grade will go down a letter each) and always do your work EXACTLY how she wants it done or you will be sorry. I seriously hate her. HATE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is over-opinionated, anal, and obnoxious. Also, she has no problem in embarassing students in front of the entire class. I did all of my work, and I have no complaints with her style of teaching, but I do not like her as a person.

You can't fail a test because she will lower u'r grade by a letter grade, which really sucks, and if u get 1 unsatisfactory she will bring u down a letter grade. Worst professor I ever had! For one thing you don't get letter grades but instead satisfactory and unsatisfactory. If you get just one unsatisfactory on a speech you can only hope to get as high as a B. Has an annoying voice. Again do not take her. Waste of time and money. Take Prof. Marie Knepper!

I HAVE TAKEN HER FOR THREE CLASSES SPC1020, SPA2001, AND LIN 2200. SHE IS VERY STRICT IN EVERY CLASS.SHE IS CLEAR ON WHAT SE WANTS.NO MORE THAN 3 ABSENCES OR DROP.LOTS OF MEMORIZATION & FOR PHONETICS IS VERY HARD LIKE LEANING A NEW LANGUAGE SHE NOT CLEAR
