Terrible. Lectures not related to the exam, so good luck trying to figure it out. Incompetent with online class format. Assignments posted on Friday night, and then due Monday before class. Not sure why he doesn't just post it all at once like any other instructor, especially since it gives students extra time to work on it.

Terrible communicator, unflexible, lazy professor. First time in online setting with this professor. He made it so you cannot look up anything, does not give you back assignments, quizzes or tests. No chance to learn from mistakes. It seemed as if he intentionally wanted students to struggle and suffer. A terrible professor who cost me my minor.

Good class. I would take another from batina. There is a lot of reading and he's pretty funny. Very knowledgeable - he really knows his stuff. I didn't care for the group project, but it was easy.

He is a really great teacher! He is pretty strict, but it helps to maintain an environment all students can learn in. He is very knowledgeable in his field and explains difficult concepts in a relatable way. There is no textbook, he actually has chapters that he has written available for use. Attendance and readings are important.

Batina takes attendance, and doesn't use a textbook for this class so you have to show up. Has a tendency to be disorganized (has repeated lectures more than once over the semester). He cracks a lot of jokes, and even though he does a lot of math on the board he cares more about the concepts on the tests. Tons of assigned non-book readings though.

Batina seems like he is not interested in teaching this class in person. He tries to trick you in quizzes and exam questions and really is not open to answering any questions in class. It is almost entirely pointless to go to class. His notes and practice questions are entirely online. Not a fun class and no excitement in his voice.

I love this guy. His class is a breeze if you do the readings, and he's funny. Just don't get on his bad side, he can be a little vicious if you're disrespectful to him.

There was a lot of reading for this class and he wasn't really available to students aside from right after class. He didn't go over tests or quizzes afterwards. He doesn't assign letter grades until the very end of the semester so its usually curved. If you like Econ it shouldn't be too hard, but if you don't really like it, it could be terrible.

This guy was horrible. I feel as though CAHNRS is trying to prove a point to business students. This Econ course only repeated what 101 said, only the tests were about readings that amounted to a new book every exam. Used to be an online course and now it has a classroom element that is completely useless. The guy's very intelligent but can't teach

I learnt absolutely nothing from that class. The lecture is tedious and boring. Exam is really easy though; Manage to get an A despite little studying.

This was a great class. I have had Batina for three classes and he did a great job in all three. I especially liked monetary policy 420. There was a lot of math but I learned a lot. He was good at explaining how it applied to the financial problems we have now.

Batina is very very smart. If you pay attention you will get a lot out of his classes, as long as you can ignore his cheesy jokes and constant liberal banter. Overall one of the better econ teachers

Batina is a nice laid back guy, he jokes often so the lectures dont get too boring. Hes really opinionated, and takes every chance he gets to inject his left-of-center politics into the classroom-luckily ppl now will be spared from his complaining about GW Bush. Tests arent too difficult if you study if you study a bit. I liked the class.
