Comment:

Very funny teacher. I think it's a very easy class if you take notes, and actually do the study guides. The test is basically the study guide so do your study guide and study it after and you'll get a good grade. I got an easy A.

Comment:

Dr. Yu is an amazing professor, he's definitely into this work and passionate about it. I wouldn't have picked a better professor. His lectures/exams are sometimes postponed (he likes to have story time). He gives study guides for each exam AND reviews them the class before, which is helpful (HINT: DO NOT MISS IT). Show up, take NOTES, and study!!

Comment:

Professor Yu, even though most of his lecture is about "story time" he is a great professor. Engages the entire class and keeps you awake. His study guides are straight forward and clear cut as to whats going to be on the exam. No curve balls or surprises. Also, do really well on your Critical Thinking Paper and receive an extra 10 points!!

Great teacher. Come in, take notes, do your review and you'll pass the class no problem. Very nice guy if you have a question he answers it honestly. Can be a little bit of a clown but over all great class.

Use your study guide, go to class, listen to his lectures, take notes, and read the book! Study guides are a big help, and he always reviews the exam a class before, so don't miss it. Very helpful. Oh and theres ONE critical thinking essay, be sure to do it right. Tough grader!

Comment:

Yu runs a pretty straight forward class. Take notes on his slides. He gives you a really good study session for tests where he basically gives you all the answers. His critical thinking essay can make or break your grade, include a lot of personal details and try not to over think it cause you either get a 0 or 120 points no in between.

Lots of note taking and reading. He does go over topics in class, but he also expects you to read, which I suggest to do for further understanding. He gives outlines and study guides which are incredibly helpful. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY for exams and tests if you want a good grade.

Mr. Yu is so funny! He relates his story's to what we are learning. He gets carried away A LOT so he rushes when we get to the end. Sometimes exams can be within 1 week of each other. Gives study guides and has a review before each exam. Did not really learn a lot but it was a class to be able to relax and just have a good laugh.

Comment:

Dr. Yu is entertaining to say the least. He does get carried away with stories and rushes toward the end. He provides study guides & review sessions pretty much gives you the answers for the 4 tests and 2 short answer quizzes. Gives a few extra credit points on random days, so go to class. I enjoyed his stories, but he doesn't like to hear others

He likes to make jokes and tell stories during his lectures. Fair grader. Take notes and do the study guide. The 4 exams are based on the lecture notes and study guide and little from the book. Attendance is mandatory.

Professor Yu is very funny, and interesting. BUT, he uses a lot of stories in his lectures which means we have to rush towards the end. He uses "old school" methods: overheads and clear sheets, but many of his clear sheets are so old you can't even read it. His test are all multiple choice, but can be confusing. His reviews are not helpful at all.

He spends most of his lectures on story-telling but he gets carried away and loses track of time. We rushed towards the end to make it to the last exam. The class is easy. I highly recommend you read the textbook.

Comment:

Teaches and lectures using many examples of interesting story-telling. Small amount of extra credit points for attendance. Very fair. Only one concern; poor time management. Got carried away with his stories, missed a few days of class, and was unaware of holidays. Did not take exam&quiz #1 until midterms and then began RUSHING everything else!

Dr Yu He is cool he likes to talk story and some of the test which there is 4 and one paper and 2 quizs are pretty tough overall. he is a tough grader you really have to know your stuff to get a good grade, but he is super helpful and really wants you to succeed. He is pretty funny, but you have to study on your own if you want to pass.

Tells funny stories during lectures & likes when students are responsive. Goes through review quicker than his stories. Tells you everything you need to know in the review and study guide. Half of the answers can be found in the book, other half in your lecture notes. 3 exams and 3 quizzes, no homework. Buy the book! Easy A! Takes attendance.

At first it seems like a great teacher that goes off topic and you get some free time while he is story telling, but that is all he does is story telling and getting us behind in exams and not learning anything useful that is helpful for anyone or even PSYCH majors. Take class only if you are good with following the text book on your own time.

Professor Yu is awesome! His class is a little tough if you don't study his study guide. There isn't any homework for this class, just reviews for the exams (4 exams, 2 quizzes, and one paper). He does go off topic a lot, so he doesn't finish a lot of the lectures for his notes, so he kind of rushes things a little. But overall, great class!

Take Dr.YU ! Hilarious and has a sense of humor! Really enjoyed his class!(: take notes from the over head, use the study guide and go to class cus he goes over exam before it! No hw, just one major critical thinking paper. I recommend him &. You won't regret it (:

Dr. Yu is awesome!His class is lecture based so prepare to take lots of notes,but although it is alot of writing,class is nvr boring.He likes to tell stories that are related the chapt to try and give a life approach to the topic.I enjoyed this class and recommend him to anyone.He only gives 4 tests and an essay, so study hard bc each point counts.

GREAT TEACHER! he does all of his notes old school, with an overhead projector. Is very clear about what is on each essay and quiz. Has a major paper thats due in the middle of the semester. Best teacher I've ever had. Relates his teachings to a personal story of his and soooo funny!
