His class was easy, except it was based on 3 test, and they were HARD! I love the guy, but you better be ready to study. Like I said there is no official homework, except a book report at the end of the semester. Otherwise, he is hilarious, and knows how to keep a classroom entertained.

Mr. Boland was a great teacher. You definitely have to pay attention in class because his tests are on everything discussed in class, not the content of the book. The study guides for his test don't tell you exactly what will be on the test so you have to know everything on the paper even though it won't all be on there, it's hit or miss.

How helpful is Boland? I went to his class 4 times & got an A. Extremely nice, talkative, and helpful. Definitely a "throwback" teacher though, so I would only not suggest him to those who struggle with these teachers. Overall I think he was awesome. Wealth of knowledge, very understanding and helpful.Offers extra credit bringing u up 35 in 400pts.

This is a quality "old-school" teacher. All lecture and no BS. His tests are all essays, and he expects great detail. There is no room for error, but he is interesting because he loves his job and it is apparent. His no nonsense attitude is refreshing.

He makes history very interesting. I am not one to ever really get into history, but with this class I have truly become a history lover. He does have corny jokes, but he is too cute...in a grandpa kind of way. You will love him if you have him. His tests are essay based, but if you pay attention and study the guide he gives you, you will do fine!

i hate history but he makes me enjoy it. his tests arnt that hard just study and make sure you use specific dates and times. his jokes are dumb but he knows they are and laughs at himself which makes it funny. one of the better history teachers

Made the material interesting and likes to make jokes. He answers questions respectfully and with all the knowledge he has. Only 3 tests and 1 book review(grades easy on book review). Make sure you take notes or you probably won't do well on his tests. Overall, his class was enjoyable and I learned a lot
