He's extremely rude. He chooses favorites and makes them quite obvious. If you're not one of them, you don't really benefit from the class. You read A LOT and learn very little. He's super attractive but doesn't appreciate any opinion other than his own. It sucks that for certain tracks, he's unavoidable.

He clearly knows what he's talking about and will never hesitate to answer a question fully. I feel humbled whenever we meet to talk about projects. He is a very strict grader as well as attendance taker. If you miss class three times all semester, you fail--no excuses. But you absolutely shouldn't miss it, as it's the hardest and best class ever.

You love him, then hate him, then love him again. He is a very smart man who loves his job, but his lectures can be boring and the copious articles he assigns are almost always completely useless. Very tough grader, but improves writing markedly.

I loved his class. He's a genius and has a great sense of humor. I loved listening to his lectures and to him talking about music. It's obvious that it's his passion. Not an easy prof. but fair. I would definitely take a class with him!
