I can only echo the other responses. She cuts/pastes her responses. If she held herself to the same standards she holds her students, she would be fired. I retook the class with Dr. Jiang who was 100% percent better. Jean teaches as if she is being watched and is about to be fired. She is more of a watchdog and not really a teacher.

I agree 100% with all previous posts. Her feed back was limited to "Good job and please keep up the good work!" or "Please review the faculty expectations for..." word count or deadline. Never did she share insight or her experience with the class. Most postings and many e-mails went unanswered. Requesting the the University refund my tuition.

Her responses to the posts she actually looked at were unspecific and useless. She was more interested in pointing out if someone's post was 5 minutes late or if they were a few words short in length, than she was in teaching. I am seriously considering changing universities or majors. This class/professor was an utter waste of time and money.

Unfortunately the previous comments from 4-5 years ago continue (minimal input, same response to everyone, not adding to the course discussion). I wish I would have known about this site earlier. She hasn't added a thing to the course learning, which is too bad as Cog. Psych. is complex. She doesn't even correct or clarify conflicting student posts

Dr. Jean was the worst Professor I have had at Capella University. Unfair grading policies. No constuctive feedback given. Useless as a Professor! If you were 1 minute late in turning in an assignment you received a zero and her response when leaving feedback was "late response" all of her other feedback throughout the course was the same to all.

I found Dr. Jean to be VERY disconnected from the course. She never responded to any of the messages from students. The majority of the responses were to say what students did not include in their discussion. Her responses to students seemed to be cut and pasted from one posting to another. Her lack of teaching is why many fight against tenure.

Unresponsive in classroom, at residency not polite, late. Good handouts but now that I'm taking Advanced Psych Testing, I see she had very poor quality reports. Geesh, Capella, this person is unqualified.
