This was my favorite class I've EVER taken. There needs to be more teachers like him. He tells it like it is and is making students more sociologically conscious of the world. He teaches about concepts that are actually important in life (big banking, racism, sexism, government, economy, workforce). This guy actually cares about youth future! TY!!

His class is very interesting. It would be better if students participated. If you are a good note taker the class will be easy. As a suggestion read the chapter before the class that way you can understand the stories he tells. His "scholarships" are great. Overall he is a good professor not stock up at all.

It was easier & a great class, but here's a catch! And it's a big catch. It is the type of information I believe you have to be ready for and open to. I took the class when I was 24. It's a class that can go over your head or can change your life. It's kind of like Morpheus showing you the "Matrix." The value can vary from student to student.

Ryno is super easy is very laid back. He loves teaching his classes and usually gets off topic. But besides the rambles there is no reason why you can't score high in his class. For every poor test score you can write an essay to makeup for it. Listen during his lectures and read for tests. Easy class thats worth taking.

Ryno is awesome. He may not use the book much but if u can pay good attention to his lectures what he is trying to explain u will never get out of a textbook. He made me enjoy and understand sociology. Go to lectures and office hours!

He's not disorganized, his lectures are just stories the whole time, but you are tested on them. Easiest class I've ever taken, never studied once. Hardly need the book, tells you everything test. Really funny, brilliant guy, he'll get you thinking about your life and the reason people do the things they do. TAKE HIM! Easy A!

To all Dean's List students I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND! He is egocentric and rambles on about himself which has nothing to do with sociology. His lectures are very unorganized, you can't even take notes. Just please learn from my mistakes and quickly search for a new sociology professor.

Ryno was great, super laid back. Expects you to read for the tests, which arent hard if u read the text. Also he has a quiz for every test but the quiz is lecture covered material. A little tricky on the quizzes but he goes over everything 2x. You can be late or sleep and he doesnt care. You can also write an essay to make up for poor test scores!

WOW! What a fruit loop. Got absolutly nothing from his lectures. He is very opinionated & judgemental. Rambles on & on about his personal experiences that have nothing to do with the book. Quite frankly buying the book is useless as he doesn't use it much. I came to learn about sociology & dropped because all he did was crack jokes that were lame!

Very easy class. You're graded on only five essays the entire semester and you're allowed to write them as many times as you want to improve your score. Late papers do not affect your grade. All you learn is the philosophy of previous sociologists. He doesn't ask you to incorporate your thoughts in the paper, just regurgitate what he teaches.

This teacher is Halarious! He is very good at getting to the point, keeps the entire class interesting. Little reading must be done, the quizes on it is difficult.Plenty of time to read. Very easygoing, can test/quiz next day ifnot ready. Tests are cake, you can write an essay and correct it till it is an A to replace test grade.

I took Ryno's class about 8 years ago and he changed my life forever. He is by far the best professor I have ever had. If you pay attention in class not only will you get an easy A but he will open your eyes to a whole new way of looking at the world. If you happen to read this Ryno, thank you very, very much.

The wierdest experience He is a very nice guy but G.. he is wierd I did not get anything from his lectures other than few spanish words! He gives 4 quizzes on lectures and 4 tests based on the book! The first quizz is what he called the Ryno scholarship (A) and after that you always can write an essay on a given subject to make up one of your test
