This professor treats the class like everyone there is majoring in American Studies and makes the course ridiculously brutal for someone who doesn't give two cares. The prof specializes in film, so if you are familiar with a bunch of classic movies you might like this class, but I was lost and bored most of the time.

Comment:

TONS of reading, an extensive group project, and long, boring classes. There has to be a better way to teach pop culture. She tries to make class informative, but it comes out too detailed with very little enjoyment. Stay away if possible. If you have to take it, don't get behind. It's impossible to catch up once you do.

Although she's tough, she's fair. I believe she really enjoys teaching. But, her classes are not for the faint of heart. Her classes are reading intensive and she expects you to be thorough.

This class had a TON of reading involved. The tests were long and in essay form. There was also a 10-page paper due the week before finals. Understandable for a class that's required, but if you don't have to take it, dont.

This class is incredibly time-consuming; there is a bunch of reading involved and there are alot of essay form tests. If you need a humanities credit take theater or something simpler than this dumb class!
