Mr. Harris is the sweetest little old man. You have 2 long papers, and 3 1-2 page papers, and a couple of tests for the semester. You do not have to read the pages in the book he assigns for tests if you just listen to him in class, and write everything he says down. If you do bad in this class, it's honestly your own fault.

this was my favorite class this semester. he is a very cute old man. only 2 long papers and 3 short ones, he is an easy grader. he goes into great details during class so there's no need to read what he assigns as long as you go to class and take notes. all his tests are short answer but its overall very easy, you will love him.

He is an older fellow but he is a great professor! His lectures are long but he knows what he's talking about & will answer any questions! He is very nice and he lectures so well you won't need to study much if you pay attention. He gives three short papers (1-3 pages) & he gives 2 long papers (6-8 pages) and he gives 3 essay & takes role.

Harris is amazing. I absolutely love him. I took his British Literature class, and his passion for what he is teaching always makes me smile. I hope that someday I am as passionate about something as he is about his class. That being said, some of the material can be a little bit difficult to get through, but don't worry. Just take good notes.

Dr. Harris is a very kind elderly fellow with a passion for English and ETSU. He grades very easily and gives a lot of partial. He's a little monotonic but if you listen and copy down what he says and study that, you may not have to read all the stories. (would recommend you do but in case you forget one, you're good)

Prof. Harris is such a kindly Southern gentleman. He teaches values of diligence, initiative, and benevolence that are sadly lacking from today's universities. The class itself requires a fair amount of work, but he's a very easy grader. Don't procrastinate on the long research papers, and fill up on caffeine before you come to class. :)

He's soft spoken and very nice. He's willing to help students out when it comes to work. He's literally THE best.

Dr. Harris is a wonderful teacher. He loves what he does. He's very soft spoken, so listen carefully and don't go to class tired. His tests can be difficult because there is a lot of quote identification. Read what's required; fairly easy class to get an A in. One 6-8 page essay and one short in class assignment. Watched a few movies about stories!

Dr. Harris is a very sweet man but do not think for one second that you can get over on him and not do your work. The class is quite difficult requires alot of reading and writing, but this is college don't expect nothing less.

I took American Lit ll and loved this class! Mr. Harris is so nice and so dedicated to what he does. He's a much older teacher, but he is very wise. We had in class discussions daily over the assigned readings, and a couple papers due, which weren't bad at all. Definitely an easy class if you just show up and listen!

Wonderful human being. Very sweet. Doesn't use D2L or email at all. Tests are from lectures and readings. If you don't read and pay attention to character names and details, then you will fail the tests. He loves long comments (about a page) instead of a paragraph when answering the discussion portion of the tests. Be honest and truthful with him.

I loved Dr. Harris. The class is easy, you don't have to talk if you don't want to and as long as you read and take notes of what he puts on the board, you'll do fine on the tests and quizzes.
