This professor is an excellent biology teacher. I didnt need to study everyday like the other students mention to pass her class and I got an A in her class. E-mail her or ask for help when you dont understand because she very help and give good response. Her tests is not as hard and biology is tough subject so study or not is not for you

I love skambis, she is so smart and loves bio. She will help you understand material and will give extra credit. The final is not cumulative, its just exam 5. Read the chapters before class & you'll be fine, not an easy A, I got a B studying hard.

She's very passionate and smart. She doesn't put "reviews", but she puts up tons of worksheets to study and some of the questions from the jeopardy are on the test. It takes a lot of studying, but she really wants to help! She's almost always available at office hours, and always replies to e-mail! Take her if you want a challenge!

Horrible teacher. She has been doing this for 30 years and thinks you have too! Her class is so boring and she is too monotone. She doesn't give study guides, she expects you to know it all without one. I was failing her class so I dropped it. More than half of my class was failing. If you want to pass, DO NOT take her!

i took tjos professor last semester, SHES OK, NICE and open for any questions u might have, BUT she talks about eberything!!! i mean i dont think she is realistic about selecting what information we should know but instead its sort of a vague idea about it, this is why her tests are so hard, def. study her her jeopardy games and worksheets, it help

DON'T TAKE HER! She's a really nice lady, but her class is by far that hardest I've taken. Her test were impossible. SAVE YOUR MONEY. I've only gotten As and Bs in the last 2 years at Valencia and I study and after taking this class I got my first F.

This is by far the hardest class I have taken in college so far. But Skambis is always makes herself available to help her students. Although it is hard, it's not an impossible class to pass. You just need to put in the study time and focus.

I got an A in the class but it was not an easy A. Make no mistake about it, this was the hardest class I've taken in college so far. Her tests are hard, on the verge of ridiculous!!! You'll need at least 15 hrs a week to study for her tests. This is not the teacher for you if your just looking for an easy grade in a science class.

30 students were in my class and by her 2nd exam 14 remained. Out of 14, 7 are passing.She takes pride on failing her students.Her tests are all over the place and she always answers your questions with another question.Valencia found so many students are failing that they Linked the class to SLS1122.New flash: It?s not the students, it?s her!

Professor Skambis is outstanding. She is willing to give you help anytime you need it. This class is challenging, but she is great at teaching. I would take her class again. She gives extra credit oppourtunties. Her exams are hard, so read the book. If fund. of bio is required, take her class!

She is a good teacher and the assignments and extra credit does help.Going to class is not mandatory but it does help.She has ur interest at heart but her test are difficult. The questions are tricky but if u READ THE BOOK AND ONLY THE BOOK you will pass..look im an idiot but i learned that the book in her class is the best bet in passing her test.

If you plan on taking this class make sure you are dedicated to your education, if not don't waste your money. Its not an easy subject but Prof Skambis does want to see her students successful. She answers all emails, even on Sundays, and she has an open door policy for any questions. I failed the class, but only because it was all chinese to me.

Not an easy A, but she'll help you whenever you need it. If you go to office hours and she knows that you're trying your hardest, I think she throws in a few extra points to boost up your grade (I think she did for me!). Go to lectures, and study study study. Use all of the resources she gives you and ask questions. She's very nice, too!

Skambis was a wonderful teacher. The class was by no means easy, you definitely have to earn every grade you make. But she is super helpful and wants everyone to learn and do good. It is definitely advised to print powerpoints, take notes from lectures AND read the text. But she is totally worth it.

her test are so hard and she does not even help you. yes she gives a lot of extra credit work but that still won't help you pass. If you want to pass with a D or and F and want to take biology over than take her class. Other wise don't waste you time on this professor.
