She's verryyyy nice, but very passionate about music. She's always very energetic, and kind of funny. Class is not boring, but would be more fun if you were interested in the music she plays... Exams are sort of tough, especially for non-music majors, or musically-challenged students. Study the text and listen to the music beforehand. Recommended!!

Would not recommend. She plays favorites, is strict on attendance, super boring, and makes smart comments. Personally, I took the class to fulfill my GER but an intro class should not be THIS unpleasant.

Come to class every day even if you are late and cannot sign the attendance sheet because she will remember that you at least attend the class. Study your notes if you take notes or read the necessary sections of the book a few days before the exam and you should easily get at least an A-. There are many opportunities for extra credit so take it.

She is very passionate about music. She has a lot of knowledge about music and wants to share with her students. Has review sessions before the exam. Professor Taublieb makes this intro class so hard. It shouldn't be this way. Basically, she would just read straight out of the textbook. She would make the class so boring, and the exams are moderate. U have to read the textbook. Personally, I wouldn't take this class. This class was borrrrrrring! She IS a nice teacher but uninteresting. Make sure you buy the book because it is required in order to get a B+-A. I DIDN'T have the book and passed with a C. Try your luck.

Alright, look - she's a great teacher, but she's been shafted with these high-school-atmosphere gen-ed required humanities courses for way too long and it's cast this passive-aggressive old schoolmaster shell over her. If you're the kind of student who can't get over a prof's personality, then you can't handle her - but otherwise, SHE'S NO PROBLEM!

I hated this class! i'm sure she's a nice lady but She's boring!! sometimes SHe makes smart comments that makes students feel stupid! & she's not as good a prof as she thinks she is. 1 time we had a visiting prof & he was much more fun than her, dat was the 1st time i enjoyed that class;& her exams r not dat hard, jus listen to the stupid pieces!

well she is an nice professor but kind of boring. at the end of the semester she went kind of fast. if ou read the book and listen to the music pieces you will be fine. her testa are fair. nothing she didn't teach or any piece she didin't do in class won't be in the test.

Shes a very sweet lady, but because her class is a requirement, many people dont participate and shes left talking for two hours. I personally enjoyed her class, but she teaches straight out of the book. She rarely stops to give her lesson any personality. This class isnt easy, AT ALL, read every page, memorize every word, and listen.

She is a great teacher. She knows the subject really well. She is always willing to help for extra tutoring.It is an overall easy class as long as you go and take good notes. She gives pop quizzes but they are easy. I really enjoy the class. I totally recommend it.

Not that easy (B+ for me). Maybe she read the many easy A comments! Covers a lot of material and about 25 pieces of music. She is a stickler for the rules. It is often boring but she is nice enough and a good teacher.

Very good professor. Take good notes, come to class regularly and LISTEN TO PIECES. Take good notes on the listening pieces that hse plays in class. Easy A if pay attention and attend class regularly.Very nice teacher.

This class is an easy A if you listen to the pieces, show up to class, and pay close attention to the material that she covers. The trick to getting an A is to know the pieces very well. She is very caring and will do everything to help you understand the material! Her class is fun!
