Comment:
Professor Tom Wulf though he is passionate about teaching his subjects was adequately not prepared for this course. The lack of knowledge of what he was teaching and the underproduction for coursework assignments has made his class much more complex than it should have been. In the future, I would consider relying less on the textbook.

His lectures are so boring. I remember his first class with attendance of over 30 people and by the mid semester the average people showed up in his class was 2-3. I never went to his class. You wont learn anything. He basically reads from the powerpoint word to word. He teaches easy stuff and doesnt teach hard stuff and let us do everything.

I will be fair to students that never programmed before this class is challenging , make sure you don't miss it and ask a lot of questions. Grading is very easy. I personally had programmed before, so it was easier for me, but I still learned a lot of new things. The professor himself is good guy with and a unique personality.

Nice guy, but doesn't know how to teach. You are basically on your own. Not a horrible class, but if you have a different option with a different professor, definitely take the other professor.

Really good professor. He doesn't really teach you to program, he does however teach you the foundation in order to program. You need to do you're own homework, yes, but if you have an interest in the topic and need a starting point you can't do better. Excellent resource and very helpful.

A really nice guy, but not a great educator. Fortunately I'm already more versed in Java than what he covered so the class was easy, although I imagine that someone who knows nothing about the language would learn little. Also has the sweetest beard ever and is possibly a pothead.

He is passionate about the subjects he is teaching, but his teaching style is basically reading the material to you, which isn't necessarily bad. If you are technically inclined, coming to class probably would feel more boring than useful. He is very good at trying to answer questions, but sometimes asks students for a different take on solution

Very nice guy. Seems passionate about teaching and getting to know students. That being said, a trained monkey could be a better teacher. He probably keeps himself updated on the current technology ever time he uses a razor, which if you see him in person, is clearly never.

Tom is a professor, not a teacher. He is a good resource for finding how to find information. If you are looking for an grade school teacher, Tom is a nightmare. If you are willing to do some of your own research, really decent guy

I have had Professor Wulf several times. Although he is a really nice guy, he has really made me wonder if they just let anyone off the street be a professor at OCAS. He appears to know nothing about computers past the 80's. We spent an entire quarter in special topics talking about listservs and forums. Thats it, just talking. Worthless!

Nice professor but he knows nothing about any subject that he teaches. He asks his students for help with people's problems. It has been over a year that he has been teaching server side web development, but he has refused to learn ASP.NET. He teaches Perl, an outdated language.
