Great class - extremely funny teacher, and good guy - go for the ride, and don't get too caught up in the details. Lots of homework, but I think he uses that to drill in the info. One of the most memorable courses you'll ever take.

He's really cool, guys. I mean if you don't actually NEED to LEARN calculus/if you're willing to watch YouTube videos and teach yourself (that's what I did) Dr. Bernander's class is such an easy A. If you have a bad grade, just talk to him. He gave me points for no reason other than just so my grade would go from an 82% to a 92% like I wanted.

Took him my freshman year for calculus... worst choice. He doesnt teach and isnt helpful at all. Great person though, really funny and nice, just not good for a calculus teacher.

Avoid at all costs. This professor will insult your intelligence. Gets mad when you don't know the answer yet he doesn't show you how to determine the solution. He always asks the most simple questions, but that leads to everyone not knowing anything. Everyone gets the same grade whether you get all As on tests, or all Fs. Surprised JCU keeps him.

So funny! loved his sense of humor! anyone can get an easy A in this class if you just ask him to further explain something, otherwise, he won't! all the quizzes are open notes, and the tests never have too hard of questions. i reccommend taking him he is a joy to have as a teacher!!!

BAd teacher, but he will cause you to pass Calculus because he curves the test very highly. He's understanding and will allow you to turn stuff in late. online homework as well as written so keep up on it. quizzes every fri. funny in class, overall not a hard teacher, 3 tests all year (including final) def. take if your bad at Calc!!!

I truly love this man. He is a true gentleman, genius, and humanitarian. I learned so much about Geo that year(not from BMAN really, just from the smart kids in class). If you want to have one of the most memorable class experiences ever, and learn a thing or 2 about life, TAKE HIS CLASS. I mean come on, the guy owned a pig as house pet once...

This man is my favorite person ever. Over the course of my year with him as an Honors Geometry teacher, I learned absolutely everything important about geometry and I loved every second of it. If you have the opportunity to take this class, by all means take it. You will not regret it.

I got an A but learned absolutely nothing.His tests were open note, so pretty much just copied exactly the problems from my notes to the test. He would spend the entire class on one problem and give homework before he even taught information. His homework took hours and were pointless.Would recommend someone else if you want to actually learn calc

You're a fool if you pass up his calc class for another teacher's. Best class at JCU and you don't even need to know anything to get a decent grade. Funniest teacher I have ever had by far and makes class FLY by! Puts on the Cavs games during class!

Prolly the hardest calss I took, but the guy is so funny. Go to class so you learn, but the tests are still impossible. He actually teach not bad, but the questions are just too hard. Just go to class to get a good laugh, hes better then taking some boring math teacher

Bernander is the funniest man alive. his class was so enjoyable because he makes a joke out of everything. his tests are impossible, but he practically gives you everything that'll be on it. you have to do the homework, but he doesn't check for accuracy and if you fail everything he'll still give you a C in the class. He's great!
