This is a very hard class due to the subject. If it hadn't been for Prof Usui I would not have made it. His patience was unending and thanks to him, I graduated!

I really hated this class! I don't agree that he was a great prof, much less one of the best! He was hard, did not explain things well, & was extremely boring. No curve. I, along with several others, struggled in this class. I went to him for help & that didn't work! Not recommended at all.

Comment:

If you need to take Social Stats, take it with Usui! He's a great teacher and he really cares about the students. He gives open book/note tests and quizes, optional final, explains well, and really helps you to learn the material. It isn't easy, but he makes it easier and fun. Definitley take him. Hands down one of the best professors at U. of L.

Comment:

This was a required course for my major and I was not looking forward to it. Dr. Usui made it really fun and interesting. I'm not going to say it was easy...but if you go to class and do the reading the tests aren't too bad. If you do this you will get an A or B. He is always willing to help.

Very helpful to students you attend classes regularly and tutors on the side. Thinks what he is teaching is very easy--for him because he is an expert, but his students struggle. Soc. Dept. Chair. Nice person.
