The only teacher that smiles as she walks into the room and says "good morning". Best part of my day for some reason. Class is very interesting. Take notes during the lectures, as they are on the test. Read the book and take notes to use for reading quizes. Very helpful teacher who actually cares about her students. Highly Recommend her to anyone.

You learn all the fundamentals of being a leader and what leadership is. She is very engaging with her students and truly cares. One book - biweekly reading quizes (you can use notes) and one big project that will take A LOT of time. It's a lot of hard work, but it's fun. She is very helpful very organized. You will gain a lot from this class.

Great Professor!! She has outlined the course to perfection. Attend class regularly so you can take notes, which will be on the test. Read the books, and take good notes that you can use on the reading quizes. The class will be a breeze if you come to class, listen, and take good notes to study from. A wonderful teacher, amazing lady.

Great professor! She is one of the few professors who really cares about her students. She is always willing to help and offers great advice. Class was challenging, but worth it in the end. Miss Philips (Andrea Beck) is one of my favorite professors!

Easy class, just take notes. She makes materials ridiculously easy, its kind of like you're in kindergarten. She truly cares about her students and is very enthusiastic. Easy upper division GE, but if you have little patience.. think twice about taking it. 3 tests, 2-3 papers, and keep a semester long gratidtude journal...

Professor Beck (Miss Philips) is a wonderful teacher who truly cares about each and every one of her students. Her class was one of the best classes I've ever taken at SDSU, and I really learned a lot about myself. She is very passionate about every aspect of this course, which makes coming to class a pleasure! I DEFINITELY recommend this class! :)

THE WORST CLASS I HAVE EVER TAKEN! And "Ms Philips" is the only one to take it with. 1st 2 months were spent playing STUPID games, like moving coffee cans with your nose, coloring pictures, & dancing. 2nd half was spent scurrying around to meet impossible deadlines cuz she gives assignments late! She even had us come in after finals week. HORRIBLE!

This class is required for the major and Beck is the only one who teaches it. That said, I think that she is the best woman for the job. She really cares about her students and will go out of her way to help when asked. The class is a lot of work made up of little assignments, but in the end, everything was worth it and I definitely learned A LOT!

Most annoying teacher I have ever had. She thinks she is teaching 1st grade and will yell at anyone who is writing when they are not supposed to. The books were awful. Lame and Boring class
