Comment:
What a lovely professor! I took Writer in the Text with her and not being particularly english savvy found the class to be very manageable. Although the texts are a little dry at times she is always open to feedback and is very helpful in office hours. Also, she takes great notice when you actively participate so don't be afraid to speak up!

Comment:
Davidson is wonderful--friendly and passionate about the material, her enthusiasm is difficult not to catch. Unfortunately, she works with early modern texts, which are not that interesting to me. However, her manner of teaching and level of engagement with students very nearly makes up for having to read Shakespeare's history plays.

Very smart and very kind. She creates an atmosphere welcoming to comments in the class, and is always willing to meet after hours. Very hard grader. Tends to drone a bit, so class can be a little slow.

Comment:
Extremely brilliant in her knowledge of not only classic texts like shakespeare but also more modern texts we covered such as Vonnegut and Woody Allen, among others. Very open to any and all ideas and presentations, rarely censors anyone. Unbelievably nice and positive almost to a fault, will not criticize anyone in class. Fairly hard grader.

Very intelligent, knows her bard. I learned a lot about thinking about Shakespeare, but not much about the man himself.

Wonderful woman who is simply brilliant. Loves her students and her Shakespeare. Much better than the other Shakespeare Prof. who goes by Abel. I took his 200 class and her 3 and 400 levels and I was glad I made the switch. Really gets to know her students and is always in her office. Makes you want to step off the ledge instead of jumping off.

She definitely knows her Shakespeare, but she has no idea how to communicate this to a class. Very sweet, though honestly boring. Maybe a 50 minute class would have been better?

A sweet, shy woman who really knows her Shakespeare. A solid professor, though socially awkward. Probably better in a smaller class.
