I actually hated his class at the beginning but ended up loving it at the end. He's really helpful and just wants you to do your best. His whole teaching is based on understanding the concepts which I think is really important. Sometimes his questions on tests are weird but ultimately once you find out what he is looking for- you know what to do

Yes, his class is early and long, but he is fantastic. He really cares about his students and their work, and will go out of his way to help you in whatever way he can because he truly wants all of his students to do well in the class. A+++ If you need to take Econometrics, do it with Keeler.

So confusing! A very smart guy with a lot of practical and theoretical knowledge about and interest in his subject, but not a good teacher! Lectures are confusing and non-linear, switching between boards and topics with four or five different topics on the boards around the room at once. Homework is difficult and hard to see how it connects.

Worst class I've had at Kenyon. His grading is absurd, and he's not particularly helpful. It's not really worth putting in the work because the amount of work students do and grades they get are not highly correlated. I can't understand why students take 102 with him. Don't take his class if you have a choice.

Keeler's voice is a lullaby, which, though soothing, puts you to sleep. He likes students to "figure stuff out on their own" aka he will never give you a straight answer, even in office hours. Never be concise; if you want a good grade, write everything he has ever told you. He never gives more than 95/100 on ind. questions, so don't expect an A.

Really nice guy! His lectures can be a little dry, but he's helpful if you talk to him during office hours. He's basically the man, but his grading can seems arbitrary or subjective at the begining of the semester. You'll figure it out in the end. It would be near impossible to get bellow a B- in his class, but don't count on an A.

Mediocre professor. He's a pretty nice guy but my god is he boring. Listening to his lectures will put you to sleep faster than a bottle of Nyquil. Bad grader too. He's completely biased. Will give you A's if you SEEM like an A student and B's if you seem like a B student. Most of his grading for HW's and tests seems completely arbitrary.

He's a good teacher and knows his stuff. Just don't let yourself be lulled to sleep by his monotone voice and the heat which is always cranked up to about a billion degrees.

Sweet old guy. His lectures are kind of dry but if you pay attention (aka, manage to stay awake) he does explain things very clearly. Don't have to read the text as long as you understand the lectures, which is nice. He's very understanding and accomodating.

I loved Prof. Keeler. He is the whole reason I majored in Economics. He was able to think outside the box and understand that different people will look at things in different ways, but still be correct in their thinking. He is also focused on understanding the theory. Numbers are nothing unless you understand the underlying theory.

Gets the material across. His homework and essay questions are indecipherable, which is makes you learn concepts through frustrated over-translation.

I cannot understand his essay questions. I don't find class helpful, and he makes economics uninteresting for me. I do see the concepts all around me in the world though, so in the end he does get the ideas across.

Keeler is a nice guy. However, his 101-102 classes are not ones you should take unless you want to be an econ major. 202 was very hard, and he feedback he gives back a) is not very helpful and b) takes forever in terms of getting back homework/tests

You have to love Keeler. Sure he is a little awkward, but he's just scared of people and gets nervous. He's a smart guy, nice and fun. A little slow on the grading though.

Very nice and helpful. Exams are extremely long and tough, but he is a fair grader. He always tries to link the economic theories with current economic issues in class. This really opens my mind, I think I did learn a lot from his class.
