Alain is knowledgeable, helpful, and amusing, which made the course material fascinating and easy to absorb. His grading is very clear and fair, and he will tell you what you need to study in order to succeed on exams. If you go to class and put in effort, you'll do well. I highly recommend Alain and the course.

Comment:

A boring class, but he has his moments of humour. There was a lot of reading, but it reinforced the lecture material. He gives hints for test content and he allows you to submit assignments for feedback before the submission deadline. I only wish this course was less history based; I'd love to learn more about my own personality.

He genuinely wants his students to do well and will do everything to make sure they succeed. I do recommend going to class as he often uses questions that come up in class discussion on his exams. If he liked a discussion question, it will appear on the exam. Very accommodating. If you struggle with anything just ask for help. You won't regret it.

Alain was my favorite prof this semester! He is absolutely hilarious and extremely approachable. He allows you to send in your assignments before hand to get feedback on them. Assignments are easy because you basically talk about yourself. Will take again!

Alain is a truly amazing professor. He is fair, humorous, and engaging. Having Alain as a prof will allow you to gain a deep understanding of the subject (rather than just regurgitation). I would recommend him to anyone and everyone interested in Psychology.

Alain was one of my favourite profs in four years! He is funny, very helpful, and very knowledgable about psych. He did not assign readings and went off of his Powerpoints. I found class very interesting and he truly wanted us to learn in the best way possible. The paper was long but enjoyable and tests are tricky. Definitely would take again!

He's a funny guy, classes are entertaining and he has a strong accent. Assignments are easy and you can show him before you hand it in so you get a good grade. Mid terms are easier than other psych classes as long as you memorize all the diagrams on his slides and listen in class

What a GREAT Professor. Alain was one of my favorite professors at MRU. He is hilarious and makes the course content memorable by his illustrations and examples. It's an easy class, if you simply print off the slides and make additional notes. His exams are a breeze if you pay attention to the lectures. You won't regret taking a course with Alain!

You are doing yourself a disservice if you do not take Alain's class. He is a fantastic professor! He is willing to clarify anything, and is extremely helpful, he will edit your assignment for you!! Tests are straightforward; if you study and go to class you will be fine. TAKE THIS CLASS!!

Class is mandatory (charts are impossible to understand if you don't go). Tests were kinda difficult (study the slides and write down every analogy he writes on the board). Very enthusiastic and interesting. Would let you send him your assignment and would give feedback before you handed it in. That being said you need to study a lot.

Alan is a great and fair professor. His classes are not only funny but interesting. He uses great analogies which helped me to remember the material. Despite what others have said his diagrams are helpful and easy to understand, if you go to class. Don't be lazy, read the text and study from his notes and you will do well!

Final exam was hard. Didn't use the text-book at all just his notes and you can print them off before class. Used diagrams and tested you on them, pretty straight forward in regards to those. If you study notes AND the diagrams (he will test you on them for sure) you will do just fine!

worst psychology teacher I have had at Mount Royal. does terrible diagrams in his notes, then testes you on said diagrams. studying didn't seem to help no matter what I did. he went to slow in the course so we did not cover everything required for the final. IF AT ALL POSSIBLE AVOID THIS CLASS.

tests = HARD. Studying hasn't paid off, and I have done a LOT. Was really excited about this and social psych, but this is just like a history of psych class. This guy thinks THIS. This other guy thinks THAT. Not very clear, so many notes, overwhelming to study.
