Cliff is by far my favourite professor that I've had. He is clearly so passionate about what he's teaching and that makes me so much more interested. He is a really tough marker, but if you follow his instructions and the MLA guide you'll be fine. He's understanding and cares about his students. Can't wait to take 4420 with him next semester!

Cliff was definitely one of my favourite profs at MRU. Tough marker but gives incredible feedback that helps students become better writers. Cliff does his best to make his sometimes dry lecture topics funny and interesting. Thankful I got to take multiple classes with him.

Cliff is the best professor MRU has. All he wants is passion from his students - if you enjoy writing the papers and immerse yourself in the material, you will be rewarded. He is an amazing lecturer - they aren't mandatory, but you will genuinely enjoy attending. Take Cliff in every class you possibly can!

Cliff is the best professor Mount Royal has. He is an incredibly tough marker but he is fair; you will learn more about academic writing from Dr. Werier than from any other professor. If you are willing to put in the effort (which you should be), take Cliff's classes! All of them.

Hands down, Cliff is the best professor Mount Royal has. Wouldn't have made it through my English degree without his all his excellent feedback and encouragement. He's tough on his students, but it works - pressure makes diamonds. Highly, highly recommended.

Cliff is an amazing professor. He is experienced and intelligent and it definitely shows. He knows his stuff. Feedback on papers was extensive and he was very willing to meet and discuss where we went wrong and how to do better next time. I will take more classes with him if I can.

You can't really sum up a prof like this in 350 characters. Cliff goes above and beyond to give helpful feedback, and he is so supportive. He has been teaching for a long time, so he knows how to grab your attention and really delve into a text. He is so energetic and smart. Take his class - it'll be unlike anything else you've taken.

Cliff makes all of his classes enjoyable. His lectures are more like presentations and it's almost impossible to be bored! I have take 5 classes with Cliff and have loved every one of them. He clearly loves his job and has sincere interest in the material he teaches. There is a LOT of reading and he can be a difficult marker, but rightly so!

Best prof ever. He claims to be a very hard marker but I did better than usual in his class. Gives good feedback. As long as you pay attention in class and do all the reading you will do fine, if you don't the exam will be very hard. All around great prof and very nice person.

What a great prof! This was my second class with Cliff and hopefully not my last, so passionate about the subject and very encouraging of opinions. Never gave less than 100% effort in his classes, but he expects the same from you, you'd better be willing to work hard for the grade, but so worth it.

Nice guy, lots of energy, but hard marker. He did an entire lecture on plagiarism and how he prides on reporting on people who don't follow this that was a waste of time. If you don't know this by now you shouldn't be going to school. His final exam was really tough too. Only take his class if you are willing to do a lot of work.

What a great prof, so enthusiastic and down to earth. Hard but fair marker. Always does his best to encourage debate and quieter people to share their voices. Made for a really comfortable and friendly atmosphere and was generally just a great guy. If you have a chance to take a class with him, I would go for it, definitely worth it.
