Alan is great! He loves to joke around so speak up and make yourself known to him and he'll have a lot of fun with you. He doesn't fill in his powerpoints like most teachers so it forces you have to stay involved and write your own notes based on what he says which is really helpful for retaining info. I wish I could take all my classes with Alan!

Alan is great, I highly recommend taking his class. He is funny and keeps you interested. His tests are "hard", but if you're a good student, it'll be a breeze. If i get the chance, I'll take a class from him again!!

Great prof!. Writes out his own slides and leaves a couple blanks here and there so you can fill them in and stay involved in the class. Tests are pretty straight forward. -Gives you hints about what the written questions are. I'd take him again.

Hes a nice guy, uses examples that are up to date and realistic. However the course material is a dry, he trys to do what he can to make it helpfull. He also makes his own slides. So understand the slides and you will do okay. He also has journals that can up your marks if u suck on the exams like me!

Is a good speaker in lecutres, initiates some involvement. Tests are a poor indicator of grade, mainly multiple choice(Tests include many chapters, hard to decide what to study, definitions or data facts?) Poor class average and weak enthusiasm to do anything about it. Better use of seminar time would definatly help students with material. A no go.
