Kind of boring subject, but easy since all our quiz were take home (they were supposed to be in class, but I guess he no longer cared since it's his last semester). Liked how he approached the reading since he did not overly analyzed any of it, but hates it when he picks on me to read out the passages (his way of doing attendance).

He's 1 amazing prof. He does get boring at times in class, but it was a doable, managable class. Since he's retiring, all quizzes were take-home (20 MC and 1 short-essay). Final was optional. Got A-, by using his lecture notes as answers for the tests' MC and short-answer. Since i've attended every class, it help boost up grade from B+ to A-.

Well I can say that I got the privilege of being his last in his last class. I mean I think he taught us the essentials. Sometimes it was hard to not fall asleep but when he told one of his stories it kept me awake. I hope he has fun in retirement :)

I think he is an interesting teacher with a lot of stories. He gets off topic a lot and talks about weird things sometimes but he is really helpful. If you have a problem with your grade you can talk to him and explain what you meant and he'll raise your grade if he can. The material is actually interesting too.

He's cool, hard to keep up w/for 2h40m though. Lectures and articles on blackboard are very helpful for the Essay Exams. His 2 quizzes w/c you must pass are EASY. Plus, he gives u 2 chances,U won't fail. I didn't read the book, but u need the IMAGES OF ASIA book for the final w/c is a waste of $$$

Dr. Wittenborn is such a sweet guy. It's a fun, easy, informative class-it's how every class should be. He grades you on what you know in easy essay tests. Highly recommended class for cultural diversity requirement

He is very helpful and the class isn't that demanding. Go to class and the lectures will help you write your essays. I didn't read the book much i just read the articles and incorporated my lecture notes. As for the final you're going to need that damn images for asia book.

His 2 mandatory quizzes are easy! You should attend class for his lectures to help u add detail to ur essay questions (he gives you the questions before the tests). Overall, he's a funny guy who knows his stuff on Asian culture and politics, but is sometimes vague when teaching it to the class.
