He's a good guy, he really roots for you to do well. He lectures off of powerpoints, so you can follow along. Attendance is mandatory. Tests are really hard, but he gives a generous curve (15+ points), and he drops lowest test grade. I recommend him.

one of the best professors in St. john's. Makes his lecture VERY clear and understandable through power point slides ( which you can even download so if you dont pay attention in class you can still study it )Very very nice man, very understandable and gives EXTRA credit so you can get an A ! Really nice guy. Class can be pretty boring, but he has a very dry sense of humor, which I found pretty funny. Attendance is mandatory and will affect your grade. Homework assignments straight out of the text, midterm & final, and "labs" during class. If you already know word, excel, powerpoint, etc...you shouldn't get below a B.

Boring but ez. Hw takes 10 mins-25 mins 2x a week. 40% HW, 10% participation (attendance), 50% tests. 3-4 tests. like half the questions are reworded hw questions. study nd u really shouldnt get below a B. SPOT CHECKS HW sometimes so dont get lazy. i kept getting like 9.5s/10s. attendance mandatory. got an A. recommended.

He's a great professor. He really knows what he's talking about and he teaches from notes. Homeworks are a big part of the grade (will give extra credit) and M/C and T/F midterm and final that are easy if you pay attention in class or study/read the book. Definitely take him if you can!

Don't get me wrong, he is a nice guy, but he doesn't really care at all how you do in class. You can participate all you want. I did all my homework, got 100% in the midterm, I was so surprise to get a B+ for the class. I had to fight to get the grade change to an A-. Might sound good, but not if you want to keep your GPA.

Prof. Ovedovitz is the man - he's unintentionally funny. He's an easy teacher. Just make sure you do the two labs he assigns, test a fairly simple (multiple choice), and even gives 2 extra credit assignments. What more can you ask for. The class is an easy A. People who gave him bad ratings r slow.
