Dr. Behforooz challenges his students by requiring them to think. Apparently, some don't get that graduate school is unlike undergrad or high school. Dr. B. imparted knowledge that I continue to use during my working career. His style may be old school, but his knowledge is timeless. I took three graduate courses, and found him to be a mentor.

Horrible, just horrible. He assigns weekly homeworks with vague details. Does not give out any written assignments, everything is verbal. Exam is impossible. Project is vague and TONS of work with very little payoff. He reads off his overheads (does not even use powerpoint). His speaking habits are hard to grasp. Got an A but don't know how.

Very hard to understand...He is foreign and has a speach inpediment. As someone else has said he gives assignments and gives no idea of what he expects. He also changes his mind on the fly first you are not going to have a final and then he decides that you are.... Avoid if possible.

Professor declared that it is not his job to tell us what he wants from us. Applies completely subjective grading criteria. Refuese to tell class what they are supposed to do for assignments. Often says only "write 3-6 pages on xXxx" then docks when certain aspects are missing.
