Dr. Kooshesh is very intelligent and humble, his lectures are very clear. You will be very busy with this class, this class will test your intellectual ability and your commitment to the major. Comment:

All in iOS/swift. Few pop quizzes not that hard. Projects such as minesweeper and tetris insanely hard. Expects u to learn and produce results very quickly which is tough. Final project is group and he expects a great/complex final product. 10 page final report that details what each person contributed. Tough class but doesnt fail anyone i think.

Really great class, not very difficult if you are very familiar with C++. The class is very time consuming so start on projects early, review for tests, stay up on labs. If you need help seek help! Do not be afraid to ask questions. Go to office hours, Kooshesh will always be happy to help!

Informative, interesting lectures, but this class will make you think & work hard! Start projects immediately, & come prepared w/questions! If not, he will assume you have complete understanding (you don't). Set aside your ego and ask questions, that's really the #1 piece of advice. Don't save it all for office hours as that time is short and busy.

Tough class, but also a fantastic one. Do not miss any lecture. Start your labs and projects ASAP. Read the book, even if reading isn't assigned. He gives extremely clear lectures, and is always willing to do another example. He will not spoon feed you, so ask any and all questions. Make sure you can write correct code on paper for tests.

Currently taking this class and my god I've never been so busy in my life. He is very good at elaborating dense concepts and will answer your question if you ask the right question. The labs and projects are very difficult until you understand the concept. It is very important to understand the concept. Must pass lab, project, and test to pass.

Data Structures is meant to be a hard class, but Kooshesh was very good at explaining important concepts. You will have to work hard in this class, there should be no doubt about that. All tests are comprehensive, so you either understand or you don't. This is the class that makes you start thinking like a computer scientist, not just a programmer.

Good teacher, very smart and has difficulties dumbing concepts down for students. Very busy man but is always in his office during his office hours. Tough class, required for graduation, very interesting and interesting topics but the book is impossible to understand. Quiz every class, 2 exams, 1 final, don't take if you don't like CS.

Kooshesh can be hard to understand sometimes, but he is always willing to help if you need it. He is really nice, and he truly wants you to succeed in the class. I came into his class with previous AP credit, so it was easy for me, but I could see that many people had a hard time keeping up with the workload of projects and labs.

level of difficulty is inconsistent. labs and projects can be straight forward using math and logic but some of them are impossible (For the intro student). If you don't know anything about CS be ready to ask for help. Method of delivering work is annoying, you need to more accounts and sometimes the password is an issue.

He brings out the best in you if the effort is there. He is extrememly helpful to talk to out of class. Tests are difficult and projects are long. You will learn alot. Best Professor in the department.

Overall he knows what he is talking about. Pretty good at offering help in person. Not very good at responding to e-mails quickly. His projects are pretty hard. I suggest starting on projects before he assigns them if possible becasue as soon as he assigns them you better hope you are not taking any other classes but his.

I had Koosh for 315, 355, 385, 450, and 451. I think I know him well. His projects are tough, no doubt, but if you ask him for help, he'll gladly give it. His tests are very fair - on the essay questions, if you say enough, you'll usually get it right. One of the best CS professors here.
