Dr. Cast is one of the best professors I've ever had. She has a deep knowledge of her subject base and is genuinely interested in the topics she presents. There is a fair amount of reading and you are expected to be responsible for learning the material. I appreciated being communicated with as a fellow scholar. Highly recommended.

I'm not sure what the person below me was talking about, I don't remember her saying she had better things to do... She was nice and graded fairly. The hardest thing about the class to me was the big essay question on the exams. She gives extra credit if you come to class. If you elect not to go to class, just do study guide and you'll be fine.

Great professor! You must read the texts (there's a lot of reading to do) AND take notes! I did this and got an A no problem. She's fun to have as a teacher; of course the occasional candy helps, too! :)

Alicia is by far my worst professor at Iowa State. Never in my 124 credit hours did I encounter someone so rude and unwilling to help students than I did in her class. Avoid her if you can, you'll be glad you did.

I thought that this was an awesome class. She did a wonderful job teaching and making the class interesting to students. She does a good with helping students identify the concepts. She gives good examples from real life situations and cares about her students. I would recommend this class to anyone! She is an awesome professor and a good person!

Excellent Professor - Very Interesting and Fun - Has a genuine interest in her students and has a great sense of humor. If you show up and do the readings this class is not at all difficult. Professor Cast does a fantastic job of making the material relevant to everyday life. Awesome professor and awesome class -- I highly recommend it.
