Great teacher. The only testing and grading is writing but if you get it done early, it would probably ease the stress. The midterm and final are the only tests and you need to study specifics but it's really not too difficult. Compared to other classes, I would say there's a lot less to memorize and know exact dates, etc. I learned a lot.

Dr. Richman can be kind of intimidating when you first see him but he's a GREAT professor. Tests are essays but your class comes up with the questions a head of time. You have to do book review papers but they're fairly easy. His lectures are usually really interesting. I would definitely take him if you can!!

I took him for Honors History. He is an awesome teacher. His lectures are very interesting. His tests are essay format, but they're not hard--as long as you study. The class I took consisted of two book reviews, two research papers, a midterm, and a final. I highly recommend him :)

Awsome prof! Had him for both 133&134, loved it both times. You have to study for the tests, but he makes the lectures so interesting. Make the effort to do well on the book quizzes, it will help. If you do really good on them, you can get extra credit. Definitely recommend him!!!

He's great! He makes the class like a story more than a lesson. His tests are fairly hard so you need to study and there's a lot of reading, but those reading quizzes can help a lot, espcially the third one. I highly recommend him

I love this teacher! ! ! He knows his stuff, and you will learn a bunch about history. Definately try on the book quizzes because they will help you out. All his tests are comprehensive and difficult unless you read and study.

Dr. Richman is awesome! He makes history very interesting and knows a large amount of info. He is always willing to adapt to what is better for YOU. If you get behind don't worry b/c he does massive extra credit. You can fail all of the tests (which are hard) and still make a decent grade.

I went to his office numerous times, and he said to just keep trying and not to give up and not to drop his class, so I didn't. Turns out I had an avg of a 69.1 and I ended up with a D...if he was so intrested in helping me why couldnt he raise my grade by one point. I even did the extra credit quiz

Dr. Richman is very helpful but a little intimidating. I failed the first multiple choice test, but you can skip all the exams and make them up with an essay exam which i got a A on. So he does work with what's best for you. I would take him again.

This is one of the greatest guys on the face of earth. He looks and sounds a little intimidating, but he is a really nice guy. He is totally willing to help you with anything. Multiple choice Test, 3 book quizes, but you get the questions ahead of time.
