She likes to over explain and talk a lot. There also is not enough work with specific vocab/grammar to practice it.

Be ready to study the vocab for quizzes Amy is a great professor and she does a really good at making things clear. The test are semi-easy if you study and pay attention in class, she posts good reviews that are similar to the real thing. The papers that you do have to write just have to be checked by a tutor and you get full credit.

Lots of online homework but it didn't take too long. We only had 4 chapter tests and then the cumulative final. We had 3 written essays and one oral exam. She's very clear and helpful and really spends time on the material. You will need to participate nearly every day and work with a partner often. LOTS of extra credit opportunities.

Online class very tough. I would no recommend trying to learn Latin this way. Be very careful during exams and homework assignments. Although she gives you a complete or incomplete for assignments she reads through them all. For exams she gives lots of time and does not lock it giving you a CHALLENGE to see if you will cheat or not.

She's an extremely kind and energetic lady. The class overall was very easy, but it's a lot of work. Lots of workbook HW and reading. Attendance is mandatory or you get 1/3 of your grade knocked off each time you miss. The class gets pretty dull...but it's easy.

One of the best teachers I've had in any subject. I would highly recommend taking her classes if you get the chance. She uses a great balance of Spanish/English in class, so you know what she's talking about and get the language down at the same time. Amazing teacher.

Amy is awesome. She's jsut about the best language instructor I've ever had. She'll keep on one subject until you understand it, which is cool because spanish can get complicated at times. I would definitely take her class. She's the only one at NMU that knows how to teach spanish.

She is not helpful if you are having trouble. She is a good teacher, but if you are having a hard time, she won't do anything about except tell you to do more, which is not always possible.
