She cancels class at least 3 times in the semester saying "she's sick" and will be perfectly fine the next day. She does not give quality feedback to the essays on time. Other classmates are responsible for giving the feedback. Does not reply to emails. She's late most of the time, but gets mad when students are late. I hated this class!

Dr. Cox is a difficult grader but you learn a lot from taking her class. She makes time during class to read essays and give feedback. She goes at a medium pace which is productive and complements the deadlines for completing essays.

TERRIBLE grader. I wrote the final paper and still had 2 essays that were not graded. I had to email her about one of my essays in the beginning of the semester because she had not graded it in OVER A MONTH. She gives no mercy to late discussion board comments and gives you a 0 if it is not on time. No extra credit. Not many comments on papers.

Awesome teacher! Highly recommend Dr. Cox if you like english. If you need everything organized, she is amazing at doing so. This class is difficult with constructive criticism but you will find that she is very encouraging through it all. Take Dr. Cox. You will not be disappointed, but dont' be lazy!

Class was almost 3 hours long. She forgot to give breaks all the time. She was late to class, but it was unacceptable for students to be late to class. Essays marked down for small things, however she didn't explain why papers were marked down so that you could learn from it. Not a challenging class, but she is not a great teacher. She is very vain

She will give you a rubric guideline for each essay which tells you exactly what should be included in your essay. It's up to the student to deliver. Gave me A's in all the essays I completed. If you have a problem with confusing due dates or assignments, speak up! She gave me extra chancestime. She genuinely wants the best for her students.

First of all, she is a tough grader. This unfortunately led me to dedicate less time to my work because I knew I was not going to get an A from the first two essays. She made us do 4 essays, a few online assignments, like 2 quizzes,7 discussion boards, and in class final. I did not enjoy this class. I was bored. I don't recommend this teacher.

I took her class Online. Is true that she don't give a lot of assignments, but she's a kind of instructor who gives very general guide to the extent that you may misunderstand most of her instructions. Additionally, she's stingy with grades, few commas will cost you a lot.

1/2online,1day inclass. Super easy, not alot of homeowork.You getno feedback on your essays though.Really nice, but I feel likeI did not really learn a lot inthat class.Good coordinator, but does not really teachthe class.Lets you out early sometimes.read the very first assignment she gives! Essay promts are a few sentances with no real guidlines.

Well, I took Dr. Cox online class and that was not a good step. Dr. Cox gives a lot of narrative writings, which is good, but she takes about 2-3 to grade them and give you feed back, which is basically useless after 2-3 weeks. She is really helpful and loves to answer your questions in no longer than two days.

I took this class online. I missed a few assignments and still managed a B. I didn't get much feedback, if any, on my papers, so I don’t really know how supposed to improve. I would suggest this class online, if you already know how to write. Only 1 paper a week, less work than I thought that I would have in a writing class.

The 1st 3 pages of reviews here tell a tale. One +ve, one -ve review - 3 pages deep. Someone's blowing smoke. I side with the -ve reviews. Instructor took months to grade assignments. She posted on discussion boards days/weeks after the deadline - what good are those comments? Course is easy, but grades won't post until few days before course end.

I worked really hard for my grade and Dr. Cox could see that. She offered insight as to where I could improve my writing and where I excelled. I really learned a lot in her class. I will always be thankful for what she has taught me.

This teacher took months to grade about fifteen assignments. So you never knew what grade you were going to get until almost the very end of class. Had to contact the Department Chair to correct this. Very lazy teacher, provides no feedback from assignments. If possible take another teacher, since she grades unfairly doesn't care about her students

Dr. Cox is an amazing professor! She is extremely professional and provides a fun environment to learn in. You must take part in group exercises as you will be graded on participation. The assignments are compelling and she grades fairly. Take this professor for your english classes, you won't regret it!!!

Dr. Cox is an outstanding teacher. Knows her subject, is fair, kind, and truly cares about her students. Any of her absences or distracted attitude are probably due to the serious illness of one of her children. Certainly understandable.

I think Dr. Cox has a lo of heart in what she teaches. She is very much of a group teacher. She wants everyone to be involved, and you can tell hat she get's disappointed when her class does not. She is all about essay, really no other work. Easy breezy, as long as you get your work done. I think she's pretty fair.
