Dr. Leary is the sweetest woman ever. She is so kind toward students, and truly cares about the individual. She wants you to work hard on your papers and expects you to read. Anyone who says she is not good, clearly has no good work ethic. If you meet with her and go over your paper ahead of time, you will improve your grade.

I don't go to Loyola, so I've never had her. But, I've known her my whole life. I have seen her grading papers and she is a tough grader. However, she is one of the most caring people I have ever met, and you will not regret it if you ever encounter her.

Dr. Leary is the sweetest, so you don't think she'll be too harsh on grading but she is. I thought I was doing amazing and ended up with a B+. You can tell she's so passionate about helping others and she's literally always available for office hours! I've had her for two classes and I would take her again; beware that she will push a writing major

Dr. Leary is a great choice for a writing professor! She cares about her students and her grading criteria is clear and fair. If you go to her office hours to discuss a paper before its due you are almost guaranteed to get a good grade. Work moderately hard and you'll sail through this class. I hate writing but I enjoyed this class because of her!

Honestly one of the best professors I've ever encountered. Truly there to help you and almost like a second mom to me. She says she's a tough grader, which I'm sure is true if you don't put in effort. I put in a ton of effort because she warned us, and I slid through the class with no worries. Don't fret if you get her for Messina, she's wonderful!

Andrea is a good teacher. However I have her as an advisor for my registration, and she just completely blindsided me. I emailed her letting her know that I met with my student athlete advisor to figure out my schedule, and she approved and gave me the ok on that. When I tried to register online she didn't give me permission. She ruined my schedule

Dr. Leary is really nice but she is a tough grader. She told us in the beginning that she is a tough grader so it was not a shock as we went through the semester. I recommend writing your papers before the due date so you have time to meet with her to go over your paper. She is very help when it comes to that. Overall it was a good class.

Dr. Leary is so sweet and makes freshman writing really enjoyable. I was not looking forward to this course, but I'm so glad I did the service-learning option with her section. So much fun and really a fair grader. You get what you put in.

I'm so happy I took this class. I got placed in this class at random. I got so lucky. Dr. Leary is a great professor. She is extremely helpful, sweet, and interested in the material. She is a tough grader, but if you work hard and talk to her I'm sure you will get a B or above. Service-Learning changed my life. Dr. Leary is a must!!

Very good teacher and very interested in what she is teaching. makes classes fun and interesting and she is very easy going. Although she is a hard grader, there are no quizes or test, just a few easy opinion papers. I suck at writing and I have a B. All you need to do is write the four papers. I have never done any hw at all.
