Dean Rossi-Reder is one of the nicest professors at Conn! I was placed in her FYS "The Gothic," and though the subject itself was a little morbid, I was surprisingly fascinated by it. She's very relaxed, so conversations were always enjoyable. I definitely recommend her - you'll learn a lot and have fun.

Very nice but good god, the disorganization. Classes invariably consisted of undirected discussions with no clear goal. Assignments often had no set due dates which increased disorganization. Also, if you have a different a belief than her, be ready to deal with her bias - she'll entertain the discussion but prepare for name-calling and annoyance.
