Comment:

I like Dr. Oh since he is very caring but he is a tough grader and all of his tests are open response. I had him for Shakespeare 217 and Shakespeare is not the easiest class since it is written in very old English that we no longer utilize. Don't take this class if Shakespeare is not your strong suit.

Comment:

Not a big fan of shakespeare but you don't need to be a die hard fan of shakespeare to take this class. Explains everything in the class discussions. The tests and quizzes are not that hard (highlight every line he asks someone to read out loud). Only hw is writing discussion posts and read plays for next class. Overall, great professor!

I had Professor Oh for Great Ideas I, and I absolutely loved it. It's team taught with Professor Rusciano, and they are quite the duo. This class is amazing and I'd highly recommend them to any BHP student. There are no quizzes, and two exams (Midterm and Final) which are just writing a few paragraphs. They also only assign two essays.

Very knowledgable professor. If you are interested in this topic and willing to work hard, you will get a lot out of this class. The class can get rigorous at some points, but he really knows his stuff and is willing to help as long as your questions show that you actually have tried to do the work beforehand.

Overrated. His tests are impossible and his discussions are relatively boring. Occasionally has a good sense of humor, but overall comes off as condescending. Very hard teacher, personally I don't recommend him unless you're passionate about literature and good with memorization tests.

Dr. Oh is hilarious - he has such a great sense of humor! The class consists of logs and reading for each class, a few tests, and a paper. He is super nice and tries to make class fun. He likes people who come to class and are willing to read/participate. He will definitely try to help you if you don't understand. Take him!

His class is so boring. I want to fall asleep everyday. He is so unhelpful with anything you ask him. If you go into his office and ask him a question guarenteed you will leave more confused than when you walk in and worst is he is head of the english department. His tests are ridiculous.
