hands down the worst class i have ever taken in my life. time literally STOPS in this class. i also received the worst grade of my academic career in this class (D). very rude and terribly dull. the accent also doesnt help. and TALKS IN CIRCLES! drove me crazy. TERRIBLY DIFFICULT EXAMS and expects 3 pages per question. ridiculous.

no exaggeration - this man is the devil. don't listen to any comments saying he's not that bad (there are only like 4 out of 70). his class is brutal, he's a tough grader and he's a jerk. i had good attendance, did all the assignments and had decent grades on exams and he failed me on technicality (cheerfully)

he's exceptionally rude, mean, boring, weird and creepy. he definitely doesn't have a life outside of lecturing philosophy, and as a result does not have normal social skills. on a lighter note he kind of looks like thomas jefferson (only it's not the 1700s anymore)

SUCH an easy A if you know how he works, he's NOT that bad. He is such a cute man. You can have 7 absences and all you have to do is know the one chapter for every test (he gives you the topics beforehand) and literally try to repeat it word for word on the tests = an A in the class.

anyone who says his accent is a problem is a moron.there are PLENTY of harder to understand accents on this campus. doherty isnt what youd call entertaining but hes organized and clear and his final grades arent too bad. he also was willing to spend time outside of class when i had trouble with the material so i cant complain.

He is the WORSE teacher I have ever had. He made us read the STUPIDEST dialogues ever that didn’t teach you anything and his accent makes you wish you were deaf.
