Pretty boring professor. Paid attention for a few weeks when the material was easy and did well. Lost interest and grades slipped a tad, but still pulled a B. Don't ask him how many questions will be on any test, however, as you'll get this response: "I could give you 1 problem that takes all semester, or many you can solve in an hour." Avoid.

Poor Jaylal. very boring class and straight from the text book and hard to understand through his accent. Four easy tests including the final make up your grade. His final is kinda sketchy but the tests are really easy. Not bad just boring but pretty easy. No hw ever.

I use to hate his guy, thought he was the worst teacher, but half way through he really became a great guy. you do everything, but point is if you get a A in the final, you get an A for the semester, regardless. It's insane.. but it's easy, if you don't understand then ask, if you didn't pass the tests, use them as study sheet, it really helps.

cant really understand him bc of his accent. takes attendance and if you dont go, he takes points off. tests are hard. if you get an A on the final youll have an A for the class no matter what your other grades were. review sheet resembles somewhat of what the test would look like. just cram and you should do fine.

DON'T BUY THE BOOK, IF YOU ARE OK WITH MATH. GO TO CLASS (HE TAKES ROLL). HE GIVES YOU THE TEST BEFORE HAND AND GOES OVER IT ALL (GIVES YOU ANSWERS) AND THEN JUST CHANGES THE NUMBERS AROUND! HE IS AWESOME!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I loved Jay lal. I am taking his class right now and am going to take hi mnext semester. He gives Homework, but doesnt check it. Goes very slow in class and makes sure you understand everything before moving on. Gives reviews before the test that are identical to the test, just with different numbers. I recommend highly recommend him.

Dr. Lal is a good professor. He is very intelligent and knows his material. However if you suck at math your not going to like him. Basically for every question you get wrong on a test he takes 1 pt off you final grade.

Dr. Lal is a great professor and would recommend him to anyone. Classes are not boring and he tends to end them early. He also always has reviews before tests and the final. His tests are also short. The only warning I have is that you will be taking a lot of notes because he goes over a lot of practice problems, but all of them are useful.

J Lal is the freaking man! Eventhough you have to come to class because he takes a pt off if you dont, hes so easy. he gives a review session the day before the test and if you just study that you'll get an A. Oh, and if you have an A or a B after the 3 tests you're exempt from the final.

The guy is the worst teacher I ever had. I had to teach the material to myself. I ended up with a good grade on the tests, but not because of his teaching. His tests are cumulative throughout the year. I would not recommend to take him if you can't teach yourself calculus. 'Is this right?'

Jay Lal is the best math prof! He goes so slow and waits until everyone understands what he taught before me moves on to new material. Also, if you do well in the semester, you don't have to take the final...that was the best part.
