Escobedo was an great professor. He had vast knowledge on everything he spoke about, and really cared about his students. He always made time for anyone who needed extra help. He constantly involved students in discussion and liked to enforce group discussion. It was a very interesting course and Escobedo made it all the better.

This guy is an expert on his subject, and does his best to clarify the texts. He even offered additional texts to clear up the confusion of the poems, which was really helpful. If you finish the reading completely, you should at least get a B in the class. Highly recommended.

The class was easy if you did the readings and brought your book (otherwise he will ask you to leave). You can go to him for help ahead of time. I had issues with him with formatting and other things that I have never had issues with as a Senior. I recommend taking your paper to someone first. Overall, group work was fun.

This professor was a great guy to listen to. He was funny, engaging, and always took questions from people, even if he was in the middle of lecturing. Discussions were very open and were available to anyone who wanted to speak. Would usually end class 30 mins - 1 hour early since he wrapped everything up fairly quick. Highly recommended as a

Comment:

Escobedo cares about what his students have to say, and wants them to succeed. He grades papers and quizzes fairly, if not slightly easier than expected. And for those who care, he is very attractive. His biggest downfall as a teacher, is sometimes during lecture its easy to zone out. Overall he is a great professor who I would highly recommend.

He expects you to work and do the reading. If you don't, you won't do well. That's all there is to this class. I have never been acquainted with middle English, so I found the quizzes very difficult. I would sit and read for hours to no avail since I did not understand what I had read. And his lectures, though thought provoking, did not help me understand the text on a basic level for me to connect them them to his the core concepts he was lecturing about.

This guy doesn't know how to lecture or how to be an educator. He rambles on and on. Very unclear in his definitions.He lets his lapdog TA do all of the grading, so if you have a question he makes you have to take it up with them. He needs to be cut from OU's budget.

Dr. Escobedo is, BY FAR, the best professor I've had here at OU. I would recommend his class to anyone. He's a strict grader but very understanding and constantly willing to help his students in any way that he can. The class isn't hard if you actually read and do the work!

Best English prof I've had so far at OU. His lectures are very thought provoking and engaging, and the reading, for the most part, was interesting. I previously had no interest in Medieval Literature but I ended up learning a lot and really enjoying it!

Very good class to take, especially if you enjoy reading shakespeare. It's not hard at all if you actually read the plays. You can get your grade boosted by the frequent quizes, which are easy. He's very intelligent and helpful. The final was take home also.
