He was pretty cool. Funny at times, not too many tests but the final was old school. Tests were online, open book and open notes. The only bad thing is he is most definitely a reptile time traveler from a time after WW3. Lectures were long and constant (I dont think he took a single breath) class is really really boring. Lots of time to think.

The class was a little dry but I think it was because it was a huge class (100). He is super nice and gives tons of examples of how to interpret the information. The test can be hard especially the final but if you work hard you will get an A like I did.

Dr. Smith is one of the best professors I have ever taken classes with. He is extremely knowledgeable and you will learn a lot while enjoying the material! Dr. Smith is a wonderful person who makes himself available to students whenever you need to see him. He responds to emails almost instantly. I would highly recommend taking ANY course by him

Want to hear irrelevant stories about Morroco? Take his class. Want to see him go on random rants? Take his class. This class was the biggest waste of time in my entire school career. He goes on and on about irrelevant things and plays movies from the 80's that are irrelevant. The tests are about politics. The class isn't.

He was a bit pretentious but his stories of his travels made for interesting, well-informed lectures. The class was very easy and i never once read out of the book. due to the online nature of his tests, i could easily just pull out the textbook and answer the questions with the glossary. However the content was very interesting and informative.

Dr. Smith is an incredible professor who teaches a very interesting class. He is not afraid of sharing his opinions, so if you get offended easily he is not a professor for you. The material he chooses is extremely interesting, but you do have to write several very long papers and he does give a lot of homework. Be prepared to read a lot!

Dr. Smith seems to be very unorganized and doesn't give clear grading criteria at all. Also, he picks and chooses what he wants to read in your papers, and then criticizes you for doing (or not doing) something when in reality, he just didn't care to read.

Boring... but do able. Study all of the bolded terms and you will defiantly pass. He has a lot of questions on his tests when in the grade book it amounts to like only worth 20 points for each test, which sucks in the long run for amount of error you can make. He is a nice enough professor who often shares his own Intercultural experiences.

Professor Smith ( A.K.A Prof. Sababu) knows a lot about the inequality of African Americans in America. His lectures are sometimes confusing, but still very interesting. Just do the assignments and try to put a lot of effort into participation.

I had him for my comm. class for my gen. ed. He is such a jerk sometimes. He is very full of himself and never stops talking about Morocco... He has a huge ego, and doesn't respect us or the class he is teaching. He singles a student out in our class that is Asian, all the time. Also, his lectures have NOTHING to do with what is on the test..

Awesome class... very interesting. He is a great professor with a lot of experience with what he's teaching about. The class consisted of in-class assignments (that were mostly fun) and 4 tests. He provides a study guide with the essay question that will be used on the test. Use your book to fill in the study guide and you will get A's. I did.

This class was fun. He explains the text very clearly. The tests were on vocab from the book so if you study that you'll do fine on the tests, and he gives you the essay question before the test. Overall easy and fun class.

This class could be rather very interesting. His lectures are dry and he can be somewhat biased, though he will try to word his "points" in a way that doesn't seem so.Don't ask a a question or answer to something you're not 100% sure about. You'll get the "dumb stair."I had my hopes up for this class. Just do the work and expect to actually work.

This class wasn't easy but wasn't hard either. Expect to work for your grade. Absences will really deduct points off your final grade. No extra credit is even. Do well on essays...

Dr. Smith is an awesome advisor as well as professor. His graduate level courses are very difficult, and you do have to work and write a lot. I had to use a dictionary for most of the readings for the course and at times I did find myself feeling overwhelmed.Don't be afraid to ask for extensions for papers if you need to, Dr. Smith is very fair.

I had Dr. Smith for Intercultural Comm, which was an amazing class. Took him again this semester for Language & Thought and I couldn't be more disappointed. I feel as though I needed a prerequisite course before taking this. The books are a bore to read and the tests make me want to commit ritualistic Japanese suicide.
