Ann is beyond incredible. Although it can be, at times, difficult to appreciate her constant challenges, I am forced to think about what I think I know every time I speak with her. She is very intelligent and I have learned so much because of her.

I've taken a couple classes with Ann and she's my advisor, and she's not only a great professor, but she's a great person. She knows so much and communicates it very well. She's very approachable and is willing to help you with any assignment. I think everyone at Beloit should be required to take an Ann Davies class. You won't regret it.

Ann is AMAZING. She makes you think and work really hard, but at the same time, she makes you really want to do the work. Plus, she's incredibly intelligent and knows how to lead a very interesting discussion.

Ann Davies is amazing. Anyone who thinks she makes fun of them either really deserved it or misunderstood her. The class was clear, extremely engaging, and the right difficulty. Ann approches her students as equals, and shares her views while respecting those of her students and not imposing personal biases. Class is largely discussion based, so learn to speak up or take a class with a professor who lectures more. (Beth Dougherty for example)

Ann is my favorite! She's smart, funny, progressive, and interesting. She covers so much in her classes, and doesn't waste a single second of it. She's great at leading class discussions and really making the students think. I loved her teaching style and enthusiasm.

was really psyched to take her class and was supremely disappointed. likes to make fun of her students, not clear in explanation or assignments, rude and sarcastic, do NOT take her intro classes. it was AWFUL. i graduated awhile ago and it STILL irks me when i think about it. boo! it was awful.

By the time I graduated from Beloit in 2000, Ann was my favorite professor. She was friendly, helpful, very easy to approach, and she had a great teaching style based on discussion, which really helped to keep me interested and involved.
