such a sweetheart, always writes nice comments on your work, but she is not always honest about them. she is very knowledgeable about poetry, class is always interesting. she seems busy and not always willing to help, but i still recommend her. make sure you show up to class!

Comment:

Professor Boutelle really helped me get a handle on my poetry writing in this class. She makes us examine the uses of sound and line breaks and meter and breaks down how they are used to ascribe meaning to poetry, then lets us loose to use those techniques. This class rocks!

She will really bring out better writing if you follow the exercises that she assigns. Don't take her writing classes unless you're really willing to put in the time, though. She is a tough grader and in peer-critique classes she will greatly reduce your grade if you don't put a lot of time and effort into your peer critiques.
