Who are you people? Ann is a very approachable, extremely helpful, and entertaining lecturer and teacher. Her classes are always very interesting and the discussions lively and informative. she is the best English teacher I have ever had.

Professor Mandel is tough and very unapproachable. She doesn't give the chance for rewrites of any essays, she takes months before handing anything back and her classes are so boring because all it consisted of for three hours were the classes seminar presentations. She is barely involved in class discussions and in no way provides any interest.

if you like canlit, mandel is pretty awesome. i found her to be dry at times, but she is very interested in the courses she teaches and is open to discussion and interpretations.
