Prof. Ziaian is an interesting professor. However, in my opinion he lacks the skills needed to teach. I'm sure that he knows his stuff, but is unsuccessful at explaining this. So, very unhelpful. Marking is another bothersome thing. Completely unjustified grades.

He's approachable and knows French. He makes the class fun. He doesn't put you on the spot, especially if you don't want to speak. However, his laissez-faire attitude has a downside. Towards the end of our course, I felt that he really wasn't too bothered about helping us. Overall, not a bad professor. Make sure you do loads of self study, though.

good prof, solid on his grammar. Class is made fun but he gets a touch absent-minded. Is picky as to the format/neatness of assignments. Tests and marking are very fair. Very interesting man. Also understanding and approachable. Attend class, do the work, and you'll get a good mark!
